Stayed here because it was very close to Carson Creek Ranch which was hosting Austin Psych Fest. Lots of privacy despite being attached to a home's backyard - the outdoor shower was awesome :)
The Airstream was incredibly cute and the outdoor shower was one of the highlights of our trip! The easy side access was convenient and comfortable. It didn't feel like we were in a back yard. Our privacy was respected and I was highly recommend this place to experience Austin. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time I visit.
I had a wonderful stay in the beautiful gypsy caravan! The location was ideal. It was 5-10 minutes drive from some great local bars, restaurants and breweries, and only 15-20 minutes drive to downtown and Barton Springs. There's a Walgreens a couple of blocks away in case you forgot some toiletries. It was on a quiet neighborhood and you have the backyard to yourself. Beautiful deck with string lights and a grill if you'd like to cook-out. The airstream is clean and spacious. You have an ac unit and a heater to keep you at a comfortable temperature. There's a fridge to keep your food and drinks cold. Everything I needed seem to be available--cups, cutlery, coffee, towels. What I enjoyed the most is the beautiful ambience of the space! It is wonderfully decorated and it put me in the right mood to relax and be inspired--exactly what I needed for my time off. Mickie is a wonderful host. She is thoughtful, communicative and warm. Thank you for a beautiful stay!
Great experience! I stayed in the gypsy caravan during my birthday. It was wonderful. Comfy, great records (and radio) to listen to, cozy little kitchen space. Mickie and her mother were very sweet - I would love to stay here if I come back to Austin in the near future!
Initially we were very excited at the idea of staying in an airstream, unfortunately I didn't consider that this would entail so many critters.
We came across 2 roaches and a snail in the bathroom within the first few hours of our stay.
We left the Airbnb without staying even one night (we booked for 4). Although initially the host said she would discount the first night she then decided not to refund us at all. This made it a very costly trip for us as we then had to find other accommodations. In my opinion, the host was quite defensive when we told her about the 'bug' issue.
Lesson learned: you are at your hosts mercy for any sort of refund, should the place be below standards.
