Guest Access

You get access to the whole house (it's cosy but light and airy). There's a TV which has Netflix (I'm adding a satellite dish). I have a spare (ladies') bike which is great for nipping to the shops or getting into town quickly.

Interaction with Guests

I'm in the house most mornings until 9am, and usually back by 6.30pm, I love meeting new people and learning languages as well as how people live.

The Neighborhood

Quiet mixture of families, students, and people who've been living in the Docklands for generations. The road is a cul-de-sac, there's a pizza place on the corner, and round the corner there is a pub and Gala shop.

Getting around

The Luas (to City Centre and both train stations) is 10mins walk away at The Point, and there is a bus to and from the airport stopping there too. There are city bus stops within 5 minute walk. My favourite way to get around is by bike.

  • Fergal is a very accommodating host. I enjoyed his conversation and the is full of advice about the city and public transport. the Room is small but cozy. With the bike that you can use it is a few minutes from the city centre. Only downside is that it might be a bit far from the vibrant happenings in the city. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

  • I stayed with Fergal for a whole month; he's really welcoming and easy to live with. He provided useful information about Dublin and travelling around the city.

I used to walk to the city centre. It took me about 30-45 minutes, but it's a nice walk along the Liffey. There's also the Luas station a short walk away from the house.

  • Great Location, 10 minutes into the city center by bus or cab.
I chose taking a cab, never looking for more then 5 minutes.

Take a cab, from the ferry, 8€ is worth it!

I'm fortunate that Fergal and his ever so lovely girl friend,
Took a shine to me and shared their time and really interesting friends with me.
Super cool people, with fascinating stories to tell, and blessed
me with adventures I will cherish for a life time.

Fergal's mind is an iron trap, he remembers every thing.
He is a wealth of information of Ireland's history, that he shares passionately. Conversation is always a premium with Fergal and Amy.

    The other big plus,
The corner store has an ATM that you get cash and feel safe.
And if you look, the store has healthy yummy food,
You can keep in your bag, for snacks.

There is also a pub, right around the corner.

If your there in the weekend go to the market!
It's a flea market, and it's super worth it.
That's where you will meet and see the under ground of
    Dublin.

I highly recommend staying with Fergal.

  • I had a really good time at Fergals place. The room is quiet and comfortable. I could sleep very well in the bed shown on the picture. The house is in a quiet nabourhood but still central. The LUAS is only a few minutes away.
Fergal is a very nice and interestig person. He has got a lot of stories to tell. You can discuss every topic with him and he can add new points of view. In addition to that he is a generous and friendly person who likes to share and who enjoyes company.
I have to admit that he is not the tidiest person I know, but he will do everything to make you feel at home.
I did not miss anything while I stayed at his place and I am already looking forward to the next time in Dublin.
