Your private room is HUGE! You will have your own set of keys to come and go as you please.
You will have the large bedroom that opens to the patio. It has a double bed. I will be in the other room on a futon bed. I love to cook so glad to make you something to eat when the timing is good.
You will have your own set of keys. Come and go as you please, make yourself at home.
Interaction with Guests
I use to own a tour business and love to entertain. This is really great for me to meet new people from around the world and also welcome you to my home and show you some if Hollywood if you are interested and the timing is good! I have a lot of great friends that would be glad to share time with you I'm sure. I work a lot at the law firm so not always around. I really enjoy spending as much time with my guests and making new friends.
Airbnb took me out to a nice dinner with 6 others as a thank you for being one of the top hosts in my area so that was super nice! I live pretty close to the Hollywood attractions. It's safe and amazingly quiet for being in the city because it's not on a major street.
Public transportation right up the street. If you have a car, street parking is available and convenient. I ride a Harley Davidison so if the timing is good and you want to go for a ride or cruise in my classic car, I will be glad to take you for a spin!
Other Things to Note
I have a cat named Ole! Some people are alergic to cats, however, I have had many friends with allergies over and they never had a problem because my home is light and airy, no carpet and Ole is quiet and she has her own little bed. Right now she is shaved like a lioness and looks so cute.
I'm a pretty relaxed and easy going guy. I work in a law firm as a paralegal and usually go to bed around 11 and leave at 8 but if you want to stay up, that's fine with me. I love to cook and eat pretty healthy so maybe we can have BLD? I also love using my NutriBullet to make healthy smoothies if you want to try one. Please help yourself to anything in the kitchen, anytime but there is also a store right up the street for groceries.
I don't really drink but have as much as you like, heck you're on vacation. You can smoke on the private patio if you like. There are also weights and I have P90x workout CDs if you want to exercise together :)
I usually have a container of Purell by the door, but we already know it's a good practice to wash our hands often : )
Aaron is super warm and welcoming, and makes a fantastic cup of coffee! The room is exactly as advertised, complete with its own private patio. Great central Hollywood location -- easy to get anywhere in town from here. Had we not been so busy, we would have totally taken him up on his offer to cook dinner. Next time for sure! Yes, we would definitely stay with Aaron (and his awesome cat) again!
What you will not get when staying with Aaron: a generic apartment. I loved that the place is filled with eclectic pieces, each with some story attached to it. Aaron is a gracious host and you can tell he enjoys meeting people and having them over. The bed and room are comfortable and I really liked the doors opening up to the enclosed patio. It was nice to sit out there and sip on the watermelon shake Aaron made that morning.
The location is an average middle income neighborhood in central LA. Be aware of alternate side street parking rules, being from NY I'm used to it. It is centrally located and easy to get most places. Especially, Larchmont, my preferred neighborhood for breakfast.
Thanks for the conversation and the space Aaron.
Oh yes, and the cat is very chilled!
Me and my friend stayed with Aaron for 3 nights and we absolutely had the most amazing time in LA thanks to him.
The apartment is located in a great central area in LA, you can be quick everywhere. Good restaurants and grocery stores are around the corner, though cooking breakfast with Aaron in the morning is real fun too.
The bed is comfy and the patio is really great to sit on and spend some time with his lovely cat ole who likes to cuddle a lot.
Aaron is a wonderful an welcoming host, who will help you with anything. He provided us with really good tips where to go and what to do and we had a great time meeting some of his friends.
Thank you so much for that one in a lifetime experience.
I had a wonderful stay at Aaron's place. Everything was perfectly prepared when I arrived. The house is something very special and the room is very comfortable and it's in a perfect location. Aaron is a great host! Very kind, hospitable, friendly and welcoming. He made my stay unforgettable, it was more than perfect! Thanks again! I'm so glad to have met him.
I definitely recommend this place to others! A great experience with Airbnb.
Aaron is a nice guy. He showed us his fantastic vehicles and cooked breakfast for us. His cat Ole is very friendly, too. She played the piano and that's cute. It's first time for us to use airbnb. We enjoyed and got satisfied.
This was my first airbnb stay and overall it was a good experience. However, there were a couple of pros and cons for us that will be good to keep in mind if you plan on staying here.
1. Aaron was a very sweet host. He was very accommodating and flexible to our plans. He even made breakfast for us the first morning and that was incredibly sweet of him.
2. He was always available and eager to help if we needed anything. He gave us a few very good tour suggestions around LA.
3. The house is very close to Hollywood so you don't have to worry about traffic, etc. It makes it more affordable to take a cab as well, if needed.
4. The house and neighborhood were very quiet and comfortable to stay at.
1. If you are going to go about town and plan on coming back home later in the evening after 9 pm or so, forget about street parking anywhere near the house. You WILL NOT find a spot unless you decide to park three or four blocks away or find a public parking structure for the night. We had this problem every single night we were there and surprisingly it is not mentioned in many reviews.
2. We personally found the hardwood floors, countertops, etc in the room to be very dusty and it aggravated my allergies. We kept our shoes on the whole time to keep our feet clean from the dust.
3. The house doesn't look very much like the pictures on the profile at all. It is very dark and unfortunately, very dusty. It has a very old school, antique look about it.
4. Both our room door and the bathroom door had no locks. Our bathroom door didn't even have a knob. This made us feel unsure at the beginning. Our host was a nice person but this made us quite uncomfortable.
Overall, our host was great! But the house wasn't really up to expectations.
About the Host, Aaron
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I am 49 years old, graduated UCLA and I work in a law firm and live by myself in an apartment and antique furniture is the style. It's quiet, clean and spacious.
I use to be a publicist for old time movie stars and I have done some acting so would be glad to share with you. I owned a tour Hollywood business, so I know the city very well. I love meeting people visiting LA.
I have a classic American car and I also ride a Harley Davidson! I have a cat named Ole and she is pretty quiet and she does tricks including playing the piano. There is no carpet in the apartment (tile and hardwood floor) so it's pretty light and airy. You will have your own private room with an adjacent bathroom.
Parking is pretty simple and my place is close to public transportation and the heart and soul of Hollywood. I'm gay, just thought I would toss that out there if that even matters. My friends and family may describe me as a friendly guy, funny and a great host. I work full time in a law firm and I enjoy exercising, hiking, watching movies, roller skating on the beach and photography.
