Check In
  • We had a really nice stay in the bungalow. Josh was very quick to respond to our questions before we arrived and when we got to SC he was very accessible by phone. The bungalow is cozy, well stocked and very clean. It was really nice having a dresser and closet available so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases. The kitchen has your basic necessities, so we were able to have a lot of meals at home. There's a grill outside that we didn't end up using, as well as some patio furniture.
The house is literally around the corner from a grocery store, which is super convenient and there's a Walmart down the street. It's close to a busy corner, but we could barely hear the traffic from inside. We were able to explore Folly beach (about a 5-10 minute drive) and downtown Charleston (15 min drive) and enjoyed both. Definitely check out Lost Dog on Folly Beach- delicious! Parking around Folly Beach is a little odd- if you park on the street, you have to make sure that none of your tires touch the pavement. Apparently they're very quick to ticket, but there are also lots for $5 available if you don't feel like dealing with street parking. Overall a very nice visit.

  • This location and bungalow were perfect for our 4 night trip to Charleston! We were just 10 minutes from the beach and 15 min. to downtown, a perfect balance. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and safe and the home was too. We slept on both the bed and the pullout couch which were cozy with soft sheets. Josh was a great host, keeping in touch with us during our stay to make sure all was well. On the property are two more rentals and they both looked just as wonderful. We will definitely be back again!

I live to travel and have been to the seven continents and sailed the major oceans of the world. I love to travel, meet people, expand my  knowledge of the world and the human condition as deeply as possible. I have made a living working with people in our natural surroundings and have led my clients through remote places around the world. Because of this lifestyle, I come and go a good bit and have recently adopted a more land-based lifestyle here in Charleston, SC. I have multiple rooms and houses in the area that I would love to share with worldly travelers. I understand the feeling of showing up in unfamiliar places and it feeling like home due to the warmth of the host/hostess. I don't think I need to talk about how great Charleston is, I'm sure those who want to visit have done their research and for those who need any advice/local knowledge, I can give you plenty. Let's go surf!
