Ahhh! From the moment you arrive, you immediately sense the Aloha spirit and the other-worldliness of Kauai's North Shore; Hanalei Bay Villas' unique charm, ideal location, and dramatic beauty provide an island experience to be treasured.
The home is a private residence located on the picturesque North Shore of Kaua'i in the community of Princeville. An easy stroll to neighboring St Regis Resort, two miles to the Princeville Center, and a short five mile drive to the quaint town of Hanalei.

The villa is a 1,365 sq ft 3 bedroom/2.5 bath design which comfortably accommodates up to five guests.
The open living space, covered lanai, beach closet, and half bath are on the upper/entry level. The lower level of the home has three bedrooms; a queen Tempur-Pedic mattress on platform bed in master bedroom, a king bed in 2nd bedroom, a twin bed in office/study serving as a 3rd bedroom. Also downstairs are two full baths, another covered lanai, and laundry area with full size washer/dryer.
The villa sits atop an ocean bluff allowing trade winds to flow through keeping it fresh, bright, and comfortable. There are numerous louvered windows throughout, sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, and several area fans. The master and second bedrooms have A/C units for additional sleeping comfort if desired.
Consider the home your own private paradise! Seven days prior to your arrival, you will be given a key code for self check-in and check-out.
The "owner's closet" is left unlocked. As our guest you will have access to all of the home's amenities including beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, cooler bags, beach chairs and sun umbrellas. No need to rent or pack these items. We have furnished and stocked the villa in hopes that it feels like your home away from home and not just another basic rental property. We want our guests to be able to kick back, relax and fully enjoy the home just as we do when on island.
Essential household supplies provided are toilet and facial tissue, bath gel, trash bags, laundry and dish detergents. The pantry is also stocked with assorted spices and cooking oils for meal preparation at home.
Conveniences include full size washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, hair dryers.
The home is also equipped with HDTV, Time Warner cable, satellite radio, Wi-Fi, Streaming Blu-Ray Disc / DVD / CD Player, Bose sound system for your personal device, and a landline telephone with unlimited island, inter-island, and mainland calls.
It's an easy stroll to the St. Regis Resort. The staff warmly welcome our house guests to their full service spa, cocktail lounge, beach-side grille, and premier restaurants. Pu'u Poa beach on Hanalei Bay, fronting the St. Regis, is public and may be accessed by resort elevator or the outdoor staircase along the property line between Hanalei Bay Villas and the hotel. You should know, the pool and fitness room are reserved for guests of the hotel only; Hanalei Bay Villas does not have a pool or pool access.
Interaction with guests
We live on the mainland and are, of course, available anytime by phone, text or email. Our friendly, unobtrusive caretaker resides nearby readily available should anything in the home need attention during your stay. We have shared some of our favorite activities, sites and restaurants in the online Airbnb guidebook and have assembled a welcome book with general household information, recommended activities, and area restaurants. The home is also stocked with Kauai guide books and other reference materials.

Princeville is a county approved vacation destination and our privately owned home is in compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Taxation. The County of Kauai charges a 9.25% Transient Accommodation Tax and a 4% General Excise Tax. These TAXES ARE INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL RATE.

Maximum of five persons allowed in the home at any time (including infants and children). More than five guests will result in immediate eviction.
We thank you for being respectful of our friendly neighbors. The HOA has established quite times between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. and our guests are expected to abide by this courtesy.
It is a Hawaiian custom to remove shoes before entering homes. The course sand and red clay soils of the island are very damaging to the flooring. Shoes may be left neatly outside the front door or inside on the shoe rack.
Smoking is prohibited both inside the home and on lanai.
