Would you like to experience authentic rural England ?
There is not a better location than an old Saxon hamlet originally listed in the Domesday Book in the picturesque rolling hills of the North Cotswolds. There is not a better place there than a room in our 17 century farm house with its original features - beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplace, AGA cooker.
Our house imaginatively called 'The Old House', was built just after the chaos caused locally by the English Civil War in the second half of the seventeenth century. It has been updated a little since then though.
The accommodation is flexible but we offer two main options. This listing is for our Yellow Room with its own en-suite on a B&B basis. We ask our guests to let us know in advance for any specific dietary requirements they might have.
If your party is of four, we can also offer our other listing the Pink Bedroom ie two double bedrooms. Please request a quote, if you are interested in this option.
There is a large screen TV in the front room if you would like to catch up on the news - or alternatively use the free wifi for catching up with new and updates on your own device.
In the summer you are welcome to enjoy our garden. There is a slide for children. We have more than 100 fruit trees in the garden of different sorts. These include many varieties of apples, pears, plums, gages, sour and sweet cherries, quinces - these are quite reliable croppers and sometimes we may have apricots, peaches and figs but that depends very much on the weather each year.
If you travel by other means, we are happy to meet you (from a bus in Cheltenham or Stratford or from a train in Moreton in Marsh or Honeybourne) for a reasonable extra charge.
We are only 35 minutes away from Cheltenham, famous for other things the horse racing festival held in March every year - including of course the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
You are welcome to share the use of rooms that are shown on the listing ie the Living Room with the fireplace and TV and of course in nice weather the garden.
Interaction with Guests
This is our home and so someone is likely to be at the house whenever you stay. We are more than happy to discuss the area and things to do as well as to point you towards things of local interest. However we do work full time and so our time is more limited during the week than at weekends.
Hidcote Boyce is a typical small cotswold village - it has not materially changed for the last three to four hundred years. This makes it relatively unique in a rapidly changing world.
As it says on the listing our nearest bus service is about two miles away and the nearest train station about 10 minutes by car and from there you can get to other places - we can arrange drop offs and pick ups for a small charge. We would advise you hire a car to make the most of your stay here.
Other Things to Note
We do our best to make every stay with us memorable and welcoming. Please ensure that you have the correct address for us which is The Old House, Hidcote Boyce, Chipping Campden, Glos, GL55 6LX and GPS coordinates (phone number hidden) Latitude and (phone number hidden) Longitude
We would ask that our guests keep us well informed, particularly about the time of arrival (to ensure one of us is here to meet you) and when you will eat breakfast (so that it can be freshly prepared). Please also remember that it is an old house and things may not always work in the way you expect - if you are in any doubt please just ask, we are more than happy to explain so that you have a nice relaxing time with us. We will appreciate your feedback - formal on the airbnb site and informal, we also welcome any suggestions for improvements that we could make.
As with all shared spaces we have a no smoking rule for the house - any guest that wishes to smoke is most welcome to use the garden for this.
We have two cats but they live mainly in the garden, at times they come in but never in the main part of the house or the bedrooms. We also have hens (that provide us with fresh yummy eggs) and three cockerels which you can see in the garden.
We found our experience with Konstatina and Tim wonderful. It was so homely and welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable and we loved the old English crockery at breakfast. This was our first experience with air b and b and we were impressed!
Absolutely everything I was hoping for. Konstantina and Tim have a lovely home and I was honored to have been a part of it for a few days. I felt welcome and very well cared for, and I enjoyed myself immensely. It was my first trip to the Cotswolds, but it certainly won't be my last. A place of surpassing beauty!
Tim and Konstantina were very welcoming when we first arrived. They gave us a booklet with things to do and places to eat. The breakfast was amazing! The room was very clean and cute! Thankyou for a wonderful experience :)
Tim and Konstantina is the kind of people will make you feel comfortable and easy. Themselves are not just responsible host, but also your friend. I was having my best bnb experience with their hospitality and sincereness. You won't be regret to stay with them to have a awesome holiday.
Won't forget their beautiful historical house, awesome breakfast, their adorable girls, their smiley housemaid .... Etc
Love and hugs to my great host Tim and Konstantina !
Although we didn't get to stay with Konstantina do to a last minute emergency, she was fantastically helpful! Hopefully we will be able to stay another time!
Thanks for your understanding in this issue - it was a stressful time for us all and we are happy that you were able to be positive about the situation. If you are ever in the Cotswolds again we would be more than happy to try and make this up to you in some way Tim and Konstantina
We had a fantastic weekend in the Cotswolds. Staying in Konstantina and Tim's house was so relaxing. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet them, but still everything was perfect.
My welcome was very warm and inviting and I was made to feel part of their family which made my stay very memorable.
The description of the accommodation was accurate and, and their home is in a lovely cotswold village. which is quiet and pleasant.

Thanks for reading our profile.
We are Tim and Konstantina and our home has been lived in by Tim's family for more than 200 years. Probably built in the mid to late 1600's it has a long history and its own quirky charm.
We both work full-time at universities - Tim is an academic in a Business School, while I work in the Careers office. At weekends we both enjoy spending time at home with the children - just messing around is enough after a busy week. Tim loves creating things (the garden, the orchard, the pergola etc), while I love making things and making our house welcoming and cosy - I have been hooked on Pinterest for ages. We have two daughters (they are lovely!) and we love traveling with them.... although to be honest some of our most exciting trips have been without them..... Tim has been lucky enough to work in many countries and I will not list them here but we have been to many places together, including China, Peru, Turkey, the Greek islands and most of the countries in Europe. Our hope is that the next big trips will be to India, Mexico and North America.
We love having people around and our house is always open to friends and guests. It is a standard practice now to have 15+ people at home for Christmas. We are quite relaxed hosts and we do our best to give a warm welcome to all our guests.
