Wow! The fortress is truly a special place to get away. Perfect to soak in and bask in the peace of the nature surrounding this beautiful property and home. Ned was super informative host who left us all the relevant information we would need to have the most fulfilling stay. Overall great experience I would surely come back and recommend to anyone looking to experience a serene wonderful Vermont time.
Beautiful architecturally-designed retreat in a very peaceful part of Vermont, close to the New Hampshire border and about an hour's drive from Montpelier, VT. Ned made us feel very welcome and sent us a great guide and package before our stay. Note there is no Verizon service on site.
Great stay! It was like a retreat, pure relaxation. Great if you want to totally switch off.
The fortress was exactly as described. Perfect for a romantic weekend. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.
We found everything to be ready for us upon our arrival. The natural light in the space is incredible and we were able to have the creative retreat we were looking for!
The Fortress was just as described--a beautiful space in a beautiful location. Light was abundant, and the lack of wifi (and 4G service) gave us the solitude we were looking for. As described, an early April trip is muddy, but the roads are just fine if you're prepared. We took advantage of the suggested local hiking areas and were not disappointed. A great place for a quiet getaway in an amazingly designed cabin in the woods.
My boyfriend and I had such an amazing time at your house. We were able to relax and enjoy peace and quiet away from the busiest of the city. The sunrise, the fresh air, the sounds of the birds it was awesome. Definitely worth the stay for a romantic getaway for couples! 3
