  • My husband and I (and our dog) stayed in the Oceanview Suite for 3 nights in March 2014. Caffyn was out of town, but still quickly replied to my rental request and the suite was clean and ready for us. The location is great for easy walking to Ganges and the suite itself is roomy. It has a small fridge, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, one burner hot plate, iPad for entertainment and a washer and dryer for muddy post-hiking pants :-) The bathroom was well stocked with Avalon Organics shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion; a nice touch. The lawn is huge and offers a lovely view to the harbour. I can easily recommend the Oceanview Suite and Caffyn as a host.

  • Was a pleasure staying at Caffyn's place. It's a wonderful deal compared to other places that I checked on airbnb.

Had the place for myself, with a good heater, good shower, good everything, a useful kitchen, and everything comfortable.

Caffyn was super friendly and managed to fix the internet quickly when it went down.

The place is very very close the Ganges town center in a neighborhood of nice villas.

    I will definitely return.

  • We had an amazing experience at Caffyn's house. The room was clean, neat and very well-stocked. Great location, close to Ganges and the bus stops. We had a nice view of the islands, which made our stay even more relaxing. Caffyn left good books about the island in the room, which I found enjoyable and informative, and the granola was delicious! She was super nice, friendly and helpful. We would gladly come back!

  • Caffyn place was nice and clean nice big bathroom with lots of pressure in the shower. A nice view from the window but unfortunately it was foggy the whole time we were there. Enjoyed the island it was our first time there. Thanks Caffyn

  • We enjoyed staying in this peaceful location for 2 nights. We could look out over the water (in the distance) and watch the changing weather. On the second morning we watched a couple of deer in the garden while we were having breakfast.
There is a supermarket a few minutes walk away and Ganges downtown is a 2 or 3 minute drive.
Overall, a lovely place to stay...we felt very much "at home" there.

  • Great place to stay on Salt Spring Island! If you want to stay near Ganges, this is an excellent location - a 2 minute drive or a short walk into town. Situated on a lovely, private property - we saw a family of deer on the front lawn our first night there. A pretty, clean and functional apartment. The kitchenette was stocked with coffee, tea, yogurt and fruit. Very reasonably priced too. Thanks!

  • Our visit to SP Island was great. We truly enjoyed our stay at Caffy's. She lives in a large mobile home that includes a separate entry private room and bathroom. Very nice. Super comfy bed. There was granola, fruit and tea/coffee for breakfast. The IPad in the room was a nice touch. Located very close the the village, grocery stores and shops. Caffy was keen to make sure that all was going well with our visit even though we never got to meet her in person. A great place to stay.

  • What a wonderful holiday! We were on Salt Spring Island for a wedding, and Caff was a fabulous host. We were treated to granola, yogurt and fruit, and the location was walkable to downtown Ganges. The books about hikes on the island were really helpful for the little bit of down time we had,

One thing to note: the house is close to the hospital, and we heard a couple of late-night ambulances. It wasn't loud enough to bother us, and Caff had left ear plugs in case we were light sleepers.

  • Caffyn's place was peaceful and relaxing. There's a hammock out front, blackberry bushes along the road and everything you'll need in the equipped kitchen (including homemade granola and yogurt)! Caffyn shared a great shortcut and helped me find a bike rental too - very helpful!

  • It was a great location close to shops, "downtown", and a bike rental shop! The property had a great front lawn for picnicing and tucked away from any noise. Caffyn was a welcoming host and her granola was amazing! Our time there was perfectly serene and relaxing.
One comment would be that the bed was very uncomfortable.

    Response from Caffyn:

So sorry Miki to hear the bed was uncomfortable - I've only had compliments before. I've ordered a memory foam mattress topper and it should be here for the next person who arrives. Thanks for letting me know.
