Interaction with Guests
Renee works from home, and she's usually up for a chat over coffee in the morning. We love to cook and often share a meal or two with guests, and we're always happy to make recommendations for activities, bars, and neighborhoods. The layout of the house makes privacy quite easy to come by, as well.
The flat is located at the eastern edge of the Castro District, just a few blocks uphill from the Mission district. Dozens of the city's finest bars and restaurants are within a ten minute walk, and there are Chinese, Indian, and California-Asian fusion restaurants within one block. You can walk to the Castro Theatre in 10 minutes.
We are a few blocks from the Church Street MUNI station and a 10-15 minute walk from the 16th and Mission BART station. In addition, you can walk less than a block to Market Street, where it's easy to hail a cab.
Other Things to Note
There is no reserved parking for the flat. There is street parking, but before 7:00 PM you need to move your car every couple of hours or risk a ticket. If you will be driving around during the day this isn't an issue. But since public transit is excellent in the neighborhood, I strongly advise you to put your car in a parking lot and leave it there till you leave town.
• Make sure you lock both doors when you come in or go out.
• No smoking in the house, though smoking in the back yard is fine.
• Quiet past 10 pm. The flat is located in the Castro and there are plenty of places to socialize close by.
• Feel free to use the kitchen until 10:00 pm.

Scott and Renee made us very welcome in their lovely home. Castro is a great neighbourhood very close to the Mission with lots of bars and restaurants. The flat also has great transport connections on the doorstep to explore the city. Would definitely recommend.
Scott and Renee were very easy to communicate with- they let us in to the house when we arrived midday. The room is clean and well furnished. Their apartment is perfectly located- close to Mission, right near fun Castro bars and restaurants, and a short walk to Lower Haight. Scott and Renee were excellent hosts. They knew lots about San Francisco and were very fun to talk to. I would highly recommend this AirBnb!
Scott and Renee were awesome hosts. They were really welcoming and were of great help all along whether it was to do with recommendations on good places to eat or just generally going around the city. We baked a pizza together with them as well. It was a wonderful experience staying with them. I would love to come back again :)
Scott and Renee were the most amazing hosts I have ever had! I stayed at their place for almost two weeks. They were very welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home in a foreign land. I really enjoyed the conversations I had with them and the dinners we had together (Renee is the best cook that I have come across till now) Plus I got really interesting tips and good recommendations from them to explore SF. The room is really cute and cozy (just as it seemed in the pictures). There is a huge bookshelf with a lot of good books in the room which was an added bonus for me. Their place is very conveniently located, very central and easy to get to a lot of places. Overall, not only did I have a great stay in SF, I also made new friends and memories :)
This was my first experience with doing air Bnb and it was truly great (: scott and his gf Rene warmly welcomed me into their gorgeous home. Lovely couple and very hospitable. They gave me some excellent recommendations and made me feel at home from the start! Beautiful, clean and cosy room. And spacious, clean bathroom, amazing location in the Castro! Loved the neighbourhood. Lots to do and just a stone's throw away from Valencia street :) this was a good find and would highly recommend this listing to anyone!! (:
