Interaction with Guests
Renee works from home, and she's usually up for a chat over coffee in the morning. We love to cook and often share a meal or two with guests, and we're always happy to make recommendations for activities, bars, and neighborhoods. The layout of the house makes privacy quite easy to come by, as well.
The flat is located at the eastern edge of the Castro District, just a few blocks uphill from the Mission district. Dozens of the city's finest bars and restaurants are within a ten minute walk, and there are Chinese, Indian, and California-Asian fusion restaurants within one block. You can walk to the Castro Theater in 10 minutes.
We are a few blocks from the Church Street MUNI station and a 10-15 minute walk from the 16th and Mission BART station. In addition, you can walk less than a block to Market Street, where it's easy to hail a cab.
Other Things to Note
There is no reserved parking for the flat. There is street parking, but before 7:00 PM you need to move your car every couple of hours or risk a ticket. If you will be driving around during the day this isn't an issue. But since public transit is excellent in the neighborhood, I strongly advise you to put your car in a parking lot and leave it there until you leave town.
• Make sure you lock both doors when you come in or go out.
• No smoking in the house, though smoking in the back yard is fine.
• Quiet past 10 pm. The flat is located in the Castro and there are plenty of places to socialize close by.
• No unregistered guests/visitors, please. AirBnB's insurance policy covers registered guests only.
• Feel free to use the kitchen until 10:00 pm.
o Hand wash all wooden handled knives and wine glasses; do not put them in the dishwasher.
The living room is located just outside the French doors to your private bedroom. You'll have it to yourself most of the time.
