Room with double bed & private bath
1 Mile to Titans Stadium/Central Business District/Honky Tonk Live Music Bars/Bridgestone Arena/Music City Convention Center (Safe 20-25 minute walk)
You'll have your own private bedroom with a double bed and a private, connected bath on the 2nd floor of my 6 year old home. Convenient to downtown, safe, clean and comfortable. My home is well decorated, modern, and close to EVERYTHING!
I am looking forward to having you stay in my home. When you are one of my guests, you are part of the house and part of the family. No security deposit. I just ask that you take care of my house while you're here.
I have a small 16lb. Jack Russell Terrier that is quiet and stays in her crate. She's a cutie. Almost everybody that meets her wants to abduct her and put her in their suitcases.
Free wireless internet, coffee/tea/drinks, hairdryer, steam iron, and HDTV with Apple TV provided. When I can accommodate (especially for international guests that arrive at Nashville International Airport), I'm happy to give free rides to downtown or the airport. I also provide toiletries (soap shampoo, lotion, medicines, hairspray) and towels and fresh linens for your double bed during your stay. There is also a hair dryer and a iron and ironing board in the room to use at your disposal. A TV is also in the room, along with a DVD player (not connected to cable). Bring your own DVDs to watch movies in bed if you'd like. Redbox is also up the street one block.
My guests are my friends. Hosting on airBnB has been such a blessing to me. I love it!
You'll have your own key to the house once you check-in. When you arrive, i'll help you get your bags, park, and catch your breath. Once we get a chance to say hello, I'll take you up to the room, give you the wireless key for your tablet, laptop, or mobile phone.
Come and go, as much as you'd like--late or early. You're welcome to hang out with me and my friends if you'd like. I've taken guests to the bar with my buddies. I've tagged along with them. We often go to dinner together. I love getting to know my guests! That's the main reason I host. If you're new to the South, don't be shocked by my kindness. I'm from Alabama and we treat guests like family where I come from.
I have developed a 20 minute tour [by car] of the downtown area to highlight key places and areas you might want to visit while on your stay. This is obviously up to your discretion (and my availability), but I am more than happy to do this. Of course, it is complimentary and just an added perk that you can enjoy by staying with me in my home during your visit to Nashville!
Nashville's diverse dining, entertainment, and cultural events at your doorstep, the Germantown neighborhood is the perfect location for guests visiting Nashville. Germantown was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and contains beautifully diverse architecture spanning from the early 1800s to present. This close-knit community features unique events such as the annual Oktoberfest Street Festival, Farmer's Market, as well as regular concerts and music festivals. The Germantown neighborhood also offers easy freeway access, as well as access to the Cumberland River Greenway and Downtown nightlife.
The area my home is in is called the Capitol District. Why? It sits in the shadow of the Tennessee Capitol Building, the seat of our State government. You can look the area up if you want more information. It is truly a wonderful area, and its undergoing an amazing renaissance that will bring even more amazing bars and restaurants, housing options, and outdoor spaces to live, work and play. It's one of Nashville's hottest areas in which to live. The new $150M First Tennessee Park, the new home of the Nashville Sounds baseball team, is going up 4 blocks from my home.
If you're visiting Nashville from outside of the U.S. (and pending my availability), I always like to either pick you up from the airport or take you to the airport on your way out of town. I have my own business, so I have a flexible schedule. I try to be as available as I can be, so i'll absolutely offer rides or activities that you can participate in with me and my friends whenever possible!
Ask me for guidance on the best ways to get around town. It's 0.7 miles to Broadway, 1 mile to the Titans Stadium, and Gulch bars and restaurants. 1.3 miles to Music City Convention Center. $5-6 cab ride home from the bars on Broadway. $25 cab fare to the airport.
There's off-street parking available for free.
We have UBER and Lyft in Nashville. They are ride sharing services that are to cabs what airBnB is to hotels. If you're not from the area, they often have promo codes that will give you free credits for getting around when you're in town because you're new to the service. You won't have any problem getting around town, I promise!
No smoking in the house, of course.
You're more than welcome to interact with my dog (Alice) as much as you'd like. If you want to take her on a walk, fine. If you want to play with her, fine. Don't let her in the room as she has been peeing on the carpet recently. Just remember to leave her in her crate at the bottom of the stairs before you leave the house. She is a super sweet, easy going dog. She's the hit of the house, hands down.
Foi a melhor possível. Michael é realmente o melhor anfitrião possível. Nos ajudou em absolutamente tudo que precisamos, esteve sempre disponível e atencioso. Foi maravilhoso!
Michael was great! He picked us up downtown and drove us to his house pointing out places of interest for us while driving, he even stopped to take photos of us in front of one of them. As you probably understand he is a really nice and social guy and it sure would've been fun to spend more time hanging out with him. His house was located in a very nice and safe part of town close to downtown (about a 20 minute walk).
The house itself was great, the room had all the necessities you could ask for and you could see he has a lot of experience being an airBnB host.
If I ever go to Nashville again, which I probably will because the town was amazing, I'd love to stay at Michaels house again so I definitely recommend anyone to stay at his place. He definitely deserve that "super host" badge he's got!
Mike was great! We had car trouble in town shortly before our arrival in which we had to have our vehicle towed to a service station. When I explained to him the reason for our delay, he offered to pick us up. which we gladly excepted. Everything else went smoothly from there on out.
I really enjoyed staying at Michael's home. He greeted me when I arrived and made me feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was able to come and go easily. I'm just sad I never had a chance to meet Michael's dog!
Michael was a very accommodating host. We actually had only given him about a 2 hour notice that we were interested in staying in his home and assured us it was no problem. Michael was very polite and easy to communicate with as well.
The room was very comfortable and clean and his house was located extremely close to downtown where we need to be. All and all it was a great experience.
Michael was a warm and gracious host. He was easy to communicate with and went out of his way to be helpful, offering restaurant suggestions and identifying bus routes to the Convention Center. The room and ensuite bathroom were clean and comfortable.
Mike was a nice guy. We didn't actually end up interacting with him too much because we were out of the house a lot. The house was also under a bit of repair at the time but that's okay since we didn't plan on spending too much time in it. We were out exploring TN. The room pretty standard and he had a little table of water, coffee, emergency numbers etc. The bathroom also had some things that we ended up needing like Advil and a hair dryer so that was beneficial! The neighborhood wasnt much to write home about. It looks to be in a transition phase but I think it was a good idea for us to stay outside the main downtown area. Parking was easy and Mike let us come and go as we pleased. Thanks, Mike!
I'm a 31 year old guy living in Nashville, TN. I built my house downtown 6 years ago, close to downtown and the bars/nightlife. I've hosted around 300 (crazy, I know!) airBnB guests since April 2013, so i've gotten the hang of things and think i've got things set up nicely. I know that if you come stay the night or week, you'll have a wonderful time in Nashville, and at my house as your home base. I'm happy to make restaurant recommendations and guide you towards public transit and must see sights and sounds. My house is 1 mile from the Gulch, A 20 minute walk to Broadway, and less than a mile from the Farmers Market and the brand-new $150 million First Tennessee Park, the upcoming home of the Nashville Sounds baseball team in 2015. I'm well connected to the nightlife and social scene here in town, so i'd be happy to point you to places i'd go or you could always hang out with me and my buddies when we head out. Hands down—airBnB is one of the best things i've added to my life in recent years. I've stayed as a guest and i'm an experienced host. What an amazing experience it has been.
