You'll have your own private bedroom with a double bed and a private, connected bath on the 2nd floor of my 8 year old home. Convenient to downtown, safe, clean and comfortable. My home is well decorated, modern, and close to EVERYTHING! I am looking forward to having you stay in my home.
When you are one of my guests, you are part of the house and part of the family. No security deposit. I just ask that you treat my house like its your own. I have a small 16lb. Jack Russell Terrier that is quiet and stays in her crate. She's a cutie. Everybody that meets her wants to abduct her and put her in their suitcases.
Free wireless internet, coffee/tea/drinks, hairdryer, steam iron, and HDTV with Apple TV provided. When I can accommodate (especially for international guests that arrive at Nashville International Airport), I'm happy to give free rides to downtown or the airport. I also provide toiletries (soap shampoo, lotion, medicines, hairspray) and towels and fresh linens for your double bed during your stay. There is also a hair dryer and a iron and ironing board in the room to use at your disposal. A TV is also in the room, along with a DVD player (not connected to cable). Bring your own DVDs or pick one up at Kroger or Family Dollar up the street to watch movies in bed if you'd like. There is a dedicated refrigerator for your use in the suite.
If you're visiting Nashville from outside of the U.S. (and pending my availability), I always like to either pick you up from the airport or take you to the airport on your way out of town. I have my own business, so I have a flexible schedule. I try to be as available as I can be, so i'll absolutely offer rides or activities that you can participate in with me and my friends whenever possible!
Ask me for guidance on the best ways to get around town. It's 1.5 miles to Broadway, 1.5 miles to the Titans Stadium, and Gulch bars and restaurants. 2 miles to Music City Convention Center. $5 cab ride home from the bars on Broadway or the Music City Center if you're visiting for a convention. $10 Uber or Lyft fare to the airport.
There's off-street parking available for free.
I have a small 16lb. Jack Russell Terrier that is quiet and loves new people. She's a cutie. Literally everybody that meets her wants to abduct her and put her in their suitcases.
Wireless internet, coffee/tea/drinks, hairdryer, and TV downstairs with Apple TV/Netflix. A small TV is also in the room (not hooked to cable). Redbox is up the street one block.
Interaction with guests
My guests are my friends. Hosting on airBnB has been such a blessing to me. I love it!
You'll have your own key to the house once you check-in. When you arrive, i'll help you get your bags, park, and catch your breath. Once we get a chance to say hello, I'll take you up to the room, give you the wireless key for your tablet, laptop, or mobile phone.
Come and go, as much as you'd like--late or early. You're welcome to hang out with me and my friends if you'd like. I've taken guests to the bar with my buddies. I've tagged along with them. We often go to dinner together. I love getting to know my guests! That's the main reason I host. If you're new to the South, don't be shocked by my kindness. I'm from Alabama and we treat guests like family where I come from.
I have developed a 20 minute tour [by car] of the downtown area to highlight key places and areas you might want to visit while on your stay. This is obviously up to your discretion (and my availability), but I am more than happy to do this. Of course, it is complimentary and just an added perk that you can enjoy by staying with me in my home during your visit to Nashville!
The area my home is in is called the Capitol District. Why? It sits in the shadow of the Tennessee Capitol Building, the seat of our State government. You can look the area up if you want more information. It is truly a wonderful area, and its undergoing an amazing renaissance that will bring even more amazing bars and restaurants, housing options, and outdoor spaces to live, work and play. It's one of Nashville's hottest areas in which to live. The new $160M First Tennessee Park, the new home of the Nashville Sounds baseball team, is 4 blocks from my home.
Nashville's diverse dining, entertainment, and cultural events at your doorstep, the Germantown neighborhood is the perfect location for guests visiting Nashville. Germantown was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and contains beautifully diverse architecture spanning from the early 1800s to present. This close-knit community features unique events such as the annual Oktoberfest Street Festival, Farmer's Market, as well as regular concerts and music festivals. The Germantown neighborhood also offers easy freeway access, as well as access to the Cumberland River Greenway and Downtown nightlife.
Other things to note
There's off-street parking available for free.
No smoking in the house, of course.
You're more than welcome to interact with my dog (Alice) as much as you'd like. If you want to take her on a walk, fine. If you want to play with her, fine. She is a super sweet, easy going dog. She's the hit of the house, hands down.
Last, I ask you to communicate openly with me about any questions or concerns you might have. I host on AirBnB to meet new people, and to extend Southern hospitality to folks who are visiting the Nashville area. If there's ANYTHING that you need or don't have or don't like, let me make it right. This is a new experience for some. I've done this around 1000 (yes 999+1!) times now, so I'm not new to the rodeo. I only share that to say, I want this to be an outstanding experience for you and I'm willing to go out of my way to make sure that it is just that.
I'm a 33 year old bachelor living [the good life] in Nashville, TN. I built my home 8 years ago, just 2 miles from the city center and the incredible live music that made Nashville famous.
I've housed over 900 total Airbnb guests since I began hosting in April 2013. I'm also an Airbnb Super Host. I know that if you come stay the night or week, you'll have a wonderful time in Nashville, and at my house as your home base. I'm happy to make restaurant recommendations and guide you towards transit options, and "must see" sights and sounds.
I LOVE taking my guests [that are new to Nashville] out by car to show them the area on a brief—but thorough, 30-minute tour of the downtown area. The goal of the tour is to get you familiar with the many things there are to see and do in Nashville. With that information in hand, I hope you will feel adequately equipped to hit the ground running. Hopefully, you'll learn something you didn't know about our town that would enrich your trip and help make it especially memorable for you. Making your trip special is why I host on Airbnb. That's what makes this experience different than a night at the Hampton Inn.
My home is 1.5 miles from the Gulch, 2 miles from Broadway bars, two blocks from the Nashville Farmers Market and three blocks from First Tennessee Park, home of the Nashville Sounds baseball team. I'm 3 miles from Vanderbilt, 2 miles from both Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater, and 1.5 miles from Bridgestone Arena. I'm a $5 uber ride to anything downtown and $8 to Vandy or Centennial Park in the West End of Nashville. I'm well connected to the nightlife and social scene here in town, so i'm also happy to point you to places I go. The invitation always exists for you to hang out with me and my buddies when we head out, for those of you that might be traveling alone.
Hands down—Airbnb is "the" best new activity i've introduced into to my life in recent years. I've stayed as an Airbnb guest myself, and i've hosted hundreds of people just like you. I can't imagine my life without Airbnb.
What an amazing experience! Come join me.
