I stayed at Madison's apartment in the beginning of June for the Governor's Ball music festival. It was a nice, quiet place to come back to after a crazy day. Madison was very helpful in getting us directions from our bus stop to her place, early check-ins, and recommending a cool, nearby place to eat. Saraghina was about 7 blocks away so we decided to walk instead of take the bus. Everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was friendly on the way! The apartment is a good size for a single or a couple.
We had a great experience staying at Madison's place in bushwick. She was so accommodating and very responsive to any questions we had. My wife, toddler and I found the place to suit our needs perfectly. Madison left toys, books, a high chair and organic snacks for our little one. We were so appreciative of her efforts to make us feel at home. We arrived before check in and were able to leave our bags until check in later that day. The area is nice and we felt very safe coming and going day or night. The J train is located very close to the apartment. We were able to get to the airport and into the city easily. The apartment has everything you need to whip up a meal and is very clean. All three of us slept in the bed and it was comfortable. Loved the eclectic decor in the apartment and homey feel of the neighborhood. We would definitely stay at Madison's place during future trips to NYC. Thanks again for all that you did for us and for being a stellar host!
My boyfriend David and I stayed at Madison's apartment for 4 nights several weeks ago. Madison is very friendly and easy to connect with. Her place is perfect for 2 people to be comfortable in, and the pictures nicely reflect what you get. And what we got was a very clean, tastefully decorated, simple space. The kitchen looked brand new, the whole space nicley "un- cluttered". The J Train line is literally a block away, which was super efficient in catching the subway into Manhattan. There are 2 grocery stores conveniently located within a very short walking distance. We highly recommend taking the J Train, connect to the L Train and hopping off at the L Train Morgan Ave station. There you will end in a super cool area of street art heaven. We saw incredible graffiti , which is condensed in that area, (Morgan Ave.,Bogart St.,Siegel St,White St.).Stop off for great coffee at Swallow Cafe, and don't miss free chocolate samples at Fine & Raw (Chocolate Factory)right around the corner. And you MUST go to Roberta's Pizza!!! We ate there 3 times. It ain't famous for nothing. It's got the perfect eclectic vibe with the most incredible food at a very affordable price . It's a wonderful (website hidden) Bushwick on it's way to becoming gentrified? How would I know...I did stop myself from complaining that there was not a nice coffee shop on the corner. In other words, this area does not cater to brooding hipsters, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. You can easily find that in Williamsburg(LOL)!And you can get your bagels at the first stop into Manhattan at Essex Street which leads you right into the heart of the Lower East Side! would totally recommend Madison's space ,as it is a safe, clean and convenient. It is a little slice of peace and quiet, a cozy refuge in a bustling world!
My experience with Madison was great! Me and my boyfriend celebrated our anniversary weekend(Memorial Weekend) in NY and stayed with Madison. The moment we arrived Madison was very friendly and immediately made us feel comfortable. The apartment is just as described, the beds and pillows are super comfy. There is a Deli across the street which was a big plus, and the subway was super close witch made it so convenient for us to get around. I will definitely be staying with Madison again on our next trip to Brooklyn. Thanks!!!!!
