While in Bend for two weeks working on the film Wild, myself and two coworkers wanted an alternative to an impersonal hotel room. What we found was that this Sweet Bungalow was sweet indeed. In only a short time this bungalow felt like a home away from home. We ably used many of the amenities: kitchen, outdoor grill and patio, wi-fi, garage (useful because it kept the car frost free when we left early for work), bicycles, fire pit, and washer and dryer. Our hosts Kim and Dave were easily reachable, and when the washer went down, they replaced it! We did not want to spend our valuable free time in a laundromat. The house was quiet, cozy, draft free, and had two bathrooms which was a plus in the mornings. Another plus is that this house is in a walking neighborhood (I easily walked downtown). It is close to restaurants, cafe's, etc. We especially liked that it was only a couple blocks from a very good grocery store! We are thankful to have stayed here.
The reservation was canceled 28 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We spent 7 glorious days in this darling bungalow. Close to everything in Bend & suroundng areas to explore. The accomidations were very comfortable & homey. We look forward to returning in the near future.
Our family had such a fantastic stay at the Westside Bungalow in Bend, OR. The house was perfect for our family, which include a toddler and teenager! The homeowners provided a pack n' play and booster seat for our little one. Our teenager enjoyed riding the provided bikes to downtown Bend and Drake park, which are very close. We also enjoyed the close access to Newport Market and Cuppa Yo! We would highly recommend this vacation rental to other families or copules looking for a stress-free vacation in beautiful Bend!
This adorable little place was off the beaten track from downtown, but easy access by car or bike. Lovely comfortable furnishings,
Two cozy queen beds and an adequate futon downstairs. There is a lovely yard, complete with bbq, and lovely sitting area. I would recommend Kim's place to my friends in a minute. If you stayed home all day you would be extremely comfortable, but then why would you do (email hidden)nd's amazing adventures are all around you.
Bikes in garage too! oh my!
This adorable bungalow was so nice! The owners put real care into the features; nothing was cheaply done. We loved sitting out on the patio with the Christmas lights on and the fire pit going. We slept six people comfortably (comfy beds, too). This place is just a couple of blocks from 10 Barrel Brewing and a nice (if a little expensive) market and about a 10-15 min walk to downtown.
We had a wonderful weeklong trip to Bend and couldn't have found a more comfortable, conveniently located home to stay in. Kim and Dave were great hosts and kindly made themselves available for ideas about where to eat, hike, explore, etc. The house was located close to downtown and was within a five minute walk to a great grocery store as well as coffee shops and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice selection of music cd's and dvd's. We highly recommend a visit to Kim and Dave's
