This is a approximately 120 years old house in the heart of Reykjavik by the pond.
There is a big terrace outside accommodated with a cozy hot tub and a sitting area.
The guesthouse comes with 9 bedrooms, all in different sizes (King, Queen & Single) so it should fulfill the needs for almost anyone.
In the basement we have the washing-drying machine and also a showering area. The basement is only 180cm in height, the former owner of the house (Stefan Karl the bad guy in Lazy Town who is quite tall always took his showers there, so we should be able to do it too. ;)
On the ground floor we have the first 3 bedrooms, a toilette with a sink, a little sitting area by the hall and also a shared kitchen which has a cozy feeling to it and has enough space for everybody to go around.
On the first floor we have the 6 remaining bedrooms, a toilette in on area and a comfortable bathtub/shower with a sink in the other.
This is downtown, so everything is in a walking distance.
Restaurants, clubs, bars, shops, theater, Reykjavik horbor, the pond. It doesn‘t really matter what you want to see, you can get there from the guesthouse in just a few minutes.
You can take Flybus, Grayline Iceland excursions and or public transportation from the corner of the street.
-Free Wireless Internet (100mbps)
-Free washing machine & dryer
-Rent a bicycle per day for only 1.000 ISK

The location was great and easy to find. We were able to use a nearby hotel as a reference for drop offs and tours. The room was spacious and clean. Though there were quite a few other people staying there at the same time we never felt over crowded or had trouble using the shared facilities.
Rosa was very helpful before our trip and we had no problems.
Great 2 night stay. No complaints- warm room, central location. Would highly recommend
This is a great location right in the heart of Reykjavik. The room itself was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities and utensils. We stayed here for six days and were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again:)
Rosa's is the number one place I stay when i'm in the city. Its close to everything, its cosy and clean and Rosa is really lovely. I highly recommend staying at this place.
The room was very cozy and nice, and the heating is perfect (which was important in Oct!). The shower is nice and warm. The door lock was broken when I arrived and Rosa's husband got it repaired on the same day - thank you again! The location is very convenient, walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. I can only recommend.
I just spent a week in Iceland with my family, staying at Rosas nice little guesthouse in the center of Reykjavik. It's clean and cosy. We never meet Rosa in person, but she has a very nice helper, Halli, who occasionally stays in the house. He was invaluable and gave us some excellent travelling advises during our stay. I asked ahead of arrival if Rosa could help us with a baby cot, which she was happy to provide.
The only concern I have during our visit was that the main door was always unlocked, but you got used to it. Also, since I'm quite tall (1,90 m) I hurt my head a lot, due to low doorframs. If you want a nice, inexpensive place right in the center of this capital, I can highly recommend Rosas guesthouse!
Rosa's place was great! It is centrally located and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay in Reykjavik!
Très bon séjour chez Rosa qui est d'une gentillesse incroyable.
La chambre confortable, avec plein de rangement... Voici une adresse a retenir pour un séjour en Islande!
nice place, great location, I love it!!!
Thank you for a good nights sleep in your guesthouse. The place had everything for a simple and nice sleepover. Clean sheets, good toilet-facilitees, peace and quiet and privacy with the best location very close to shops and bars in Reykjavik. The place is definetly worth trying!
