Wild bird is a a beautiful off the grid cottage perfect for couples, friends or families seeking a cozy retreat while exploring the Garden Route. Pet friendly with an enclosed garden. 2 en-suite bedrooms plus a sleeper couch suitable for small children and full kitchen, lounge and dining area. Magnificent views, large deck with gas barbecue and traditional farm firepit.

The space
Wild Bird Cottage, once an artist's studio, has been lovingly transformed into a cosy, pet-friendly escape, where creativity meets comfort. This self-catering retreat is adorned with original artworks, adding a touch of inspiration to your stay.

Wild Bird is a two-bedroom farmhouse-style cottage with unforgettable views of undulating fynbos hills, the Rondevlei lake and the Outeniqua mountains. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. One room has a queen sized bed pus a sleeper couch suitable for two young children. The 2nd bedroom has a luxurious king-sized extra long bed that can be split into 2 single beds on request. The kitchen and living area are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside and outside dining areas allow comfort in all weather.

Every room offers stunning, uninterrupted views of the Outeniqua mountains, lush forests, and a serene lake. The large covered deck with a gas braai invites you to unwind, while the enclosed garden with a traditional farm fire pit sets the stage for memorable evenings under the stars.

The cottage is private, pet-friendly and off the grid. The garden is enclosed allowing you to leave your pets securely if you need to adventure without them.

Wild Bird is a short stroll away from our shared pool area where guests can relax and enjoy views of the lake and mountains. Enjoy magcal walks on our short farm trails where you and your dogs can run free on our sandy fynbos covered dunes. Equleni borders the Wilderness National Park, so guests can walk straight from the farm to visit the nearby bird hide or hike along the Cape Dune Molerat Trail.

Conveniently located between Knysna and George and just outside of the Villages of Sedgefield. & Wilderness. Although we are on a farm we have the comfort of a tar road all the way to our front gate.

The cottage is private. The pool area is shared. You are welcome to let your dogs off the leash on our gorgeous farm trails
