About this listing
We live on a quiet street in the friendly, bustling neighborhood of 12South, conveniently located between Vanderbilt, Belmont and Lipscomb universities. Also, Music Row and downtown Nashville, with all of it's tourist attractions, are just a short drive or bus ride away. The bus stop is a half-block from the house. Within walking distance, you'll find locally owned coffee bars, restaurants and retail shops. There is also a lovely park with an antebellum mansion, large old trees, walking path, tennis and basketball courts.
The suite is located on the second floor of our 100+ year old bungalow and has a private entrance from the outside and a front porch for relaxing. The main bedroom is spacious with a closet, queen size bed, dresser, writing desk and rocking chair perfect for reading. The smaller bedroom has a double bed, bedside table with reading lamp, chair and luggage rack. There is a large bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower, pedestal sink, toilet and cabinet with extra towels and sheets, hair dryer and toiletries, ironing board and iron. The sitting area has a sofa and chair and is equipped with a flat screen TV, radio/CD player and free Wi-fi. The heating and cooling systems are separate and at your control.
Though cooking is not permitted, there is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker for your convenience. Along with complimentary filtered water/coffee/tea, a continental breakfast for your first morning will be in the refrigerator. Plates, glasses, cups and flatware are provided. In the wide hallway, there is a small table and chairs so you can eat in as desired.

Interaction with Guests
Ken and/or I will be available at check-in to get you oriented to the suite and give you information about our neighborhood and Nashville. We're always happy to interact with our guests but also want to respect your privacy.
We live a half block from the bus stop. The #17 bus will take you downtown without the need for a transfer and once there, you can hop on and off a free circulator bus that will take you to all the tourist sites.
Check-in is after 2pm and check-out is by 11am. If possible, and with advance notice, the times can be flexed. There is no smoking in the house or on the front porch, but there is a small landing at the top of the outside staircase where smoking is permitted. We, or our representative, will meet you at the time of check-in to give you your key. Please place all dirty dishes in the provided plastic container. We'll collect this daily and return the dishes to you clean. We live downstairs, so you can come to the front door or call us if you need anything.
