This apartment is located in Potrero Hill, one of San Francisco's seven hills. The neighborhood is in the heart of the startup world, with Zynga and Airbnb only a few blocks away.
Potrero Hill has the best weather in SF, with little fog and lots of sun. We also have the best views in the city. Virtually all car chasing scenes are filmed here due to the dramatic hills and low-key neighborhood. We're only a 15 minute drive from downtown Union Square. We're close to plenty of public transportation that allows you to navigate the city, as well as Cal-train that takes you down to Silicon Valley.
The apartment is on the edge of the "warehouse district," and I refer to our neighborhood as the Soho of San Francisco. When you enter, you walk into a real startup by day, called SevenPonds. The office typically closes at 6, but many nights, and often on the weekends, we work. However, our activities won't disturb you. You are welcome to work, check emails on your laptop or eat at the main table while we work. It's a two bedroom (you have your private bedroom), one bath (shared), a nice kitchen that has everything you need to cook, and a lovely backyard with a propane grill. It can get nippy at night, so bring layers. The bedroom has a King size bed and a Bose speaker for your Ipod.
There are 2 resident cats that are fed by me or my ex. We provide a stool and butcher block desk with wifi during the day. Please note, there is not a living room.
The apartment is located one block from 18th Street, with Farley's where lots of casual California business takes place, with many restaurants and boutiques. We're also only a few blocks away from the biggest Whole Foods in the city.
We have the best parking in the city hands-down and are in the commercial area where you can park for free all day. There is street cleaning so you need to be sure you are parked on the right side Monday & Wednesday. The apartment is 15 minutes by car from SFO airport and 15 minutes from Union Square. We have many bus lines and are a 20 minute walk from Bart Mission Street or CalTrain. You will not want to carry big baggage from caltrain over the very steep hill to us. Amazing views of the city but heavy luggage is not so fun.
Please, no smoking in the apartment. I cannot accept anyone staying more than 2 weeks. Also, please note that I will be working many weekends, so the office will be up and functioning - my apologies.
ONLY ONE PERSON, PLEASE.
Suzette is nice and helpful. I can work in her studio without problems.
The place was great. Central location, walking distance to a lot of amenities as well as several bus lines, but still quiet in the evening. The place itself is well-designed and comfortable to stay in. Suzette was a fantastic and gracious host and very accommodating. Would totally stay here again.
Suzette's place was great. It's a really nice location, especially if you're driving. More parking spots around than almost any other neighborhood. It's a quick ~10 minute drive downtown and the rest of the city is also pretty accessible. The views are beautiful.
This is actually an office, so expect that as it says. The bathroom was super cool as was the rest of the place. There's a great music venue around the corner.
Suzette was a fantastic host. She was out of town but was super easy to get ahold of. It is super close to a lot of good places to eat and shop and close to 280. For my first time in San Francisco, this was a nice play to stay. When I come back to San Francisco, I will definitely stay here if there's an opening. Also, you have to eat Goat Hill Pizza. The best pizza I had on my trip. Great neighborhood and the host was nice - can't beat that!
I stayed at Suzette's place for a week while I was in SF for work. I was quite busy and didn't hang around much, but the space was extremely comfortable and well designed. Suzette is a very interesting, intelligent, friendly, and respectful person and I enjoyed talking with her. The neighborhood is laid back with great views and it's not too difficult to get around the city on the bus any time of day or night. I also had a car and the parking situation was great. I highly recommend this stay!
I stayed with Suzette for 2 weeks when I relocated to San Francisco and was looking for a permanent place to live. I am so glad I was able to stay with her because she made me feel like it was my home away from home with her kindness, consideration and friendship. She was so easy to communicate with and very accommodating to my needs. The space was large, clean and welcoming and I enjoyed having a private room. I would stay with Suzette again and definitely recommend it - especially if you love design because her style is incredible.
Suzette was a gracious host and opened her beautiful and warm space even though for just one night. She provided me with plenty of information on the neighborhood, restaurants and made me feel right at home. She was kind to allow me to print my résumé for an interview I had the following day. I highly recommend Suzette's space for any one looking for a great experience in a lovely warm.
Suzette was very welcoming and friendly when I arrived! She gave me a sheet of tips and instructions for the space and wifi. Her bedroom is very quiet and comfortable, and her workspace was beautifully decorated and warm. I actually did a bit of work from here! It's in a great location and the value is unbeatable. I would recommend Suzette to friends and family.
Suzette is a great host and an interesting lady. I really enjoyed staying with her in her office/ house. It's in a great location, clean and beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. I'll be looking her up next time I swing through SF for sure!
Suzette is the perfect host, and her place is very clean, modern and in a safe and quite neighborhood. She was very accommodating when I first arrived and all the time I was there, and made sure I had everything I needed even when she was not around.
Can't wait to stay there again :)
