My husband and I stayed for our first anniversary weekend as we really enjoyed it. It was very relaxing and peaceful to be out in the woods! The promixity to restaurants and places to go out is perfect. This was our first air BnB experience and we can't wait to stay there again or somewhere else! Gavin and his family greeted us right when we got there and we loved meeting them!
What an awesome place! Gavin and family were very welcoming and there farm was perfect. We can't wait to go back!
We had a lovely time! The guest house is beautiful, spacious and bright, and more than comfortable for the two of us. We especially liked meeting the goats and chickens, and sitting outside in the morning with coffee. The place was truly a restful getaway!
Great stay! Wonderful and beautiful piece of property with goats and chickens! Gavin made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in seeing Virginia wine country.
Again, again and again. The hosts were so lovely to us. It was absolutly clean and the flat is a dream.
Gavin was a wonderful host, going above and beyond! He made us feel very welcome and had great dinner recs (we hit up blue mountain brewery for some gorgeous views). The guest house was bright, clean and comfortable. Pillows were fluffy and the bathroom was spotless. Adorable goats and adirondack chairs were an added bonus :) Would absolutely recommend to friends and strangers alike!
Gavin went above and beyond as an Air BnB host on many levels. He was waiting for us at the top of his driveway in the rain at night, probably knowing how tired and disoriented we were. He helped us with our bags and the next day was kind enough to introduce us to his family and his goats and chickens. The unit itself was absolutely lovely and comfortable and had so many thoughtful touches -- snacks and coffee/tea and breakfast items. It was the perfect last stop before we headed home from our cross country road trip.
About the Host, Gavin
We are a happy family of three and live on the outskirts of Charlottesville and Ivy, VA. We are lucky to be surrounded by many trees and animals on our humble, mountainside retreat. We have two dogs, a cat, many fish, many chickens and four goats. We are outside people, always working on the yard or gardening. We like hiking, walking and whitewater river rafting. We love meeting new people!
