Serene Pundaquit
“You can almost hear the melody of the symphony of the wind, the waves and the whispering pines. Another perfect day in Pundaquit. The sky in white and blue,
the leaves and the branches of the trees swaying with each breath of the wind;
The Grass on the hills dancing to a cadence;
The air warm on the face, one feels peace and would not let anything spoil it.”

The space
Welcome to our humble abode!
The LokalsVibe SurfHouse is a beachfront wood cabin surrounded with the whispering pine trees nestled at the foot of the hill. After a 5-10 minute leisurely walk by the shoreline from the barrio river to the end of the cove, you will arrive at our peaceful beach house.
Perfect for beach goers and nature lovers to unwind and relax in our open style beach house if you want a back to basics experience but still equipped with household amenities to make life easier and your stay pleasant.
The beach house is blessed with epic sunsets and back dropped with the magnificent mountain skyline. One can also listen to the sound of nature like frogs, crickets, birds like owls and Agila, “Bruno” our in-house gecko/tuko and fruit bats. And if you're lucky, you might see sea turtles during the breeding season since our area is their breeding ground. Have fun with the whole family swimming, snorkeling, and Surfing (on surf season only). We always bring our son here for a reset and detox from gadgets and city life. But NO worries in staying connected since major telecoms data signal is strong in our area with Globe being the strongest.
LokalsVibe SurfHouse is located in Brgy. Pundakit, San Antonio, Zambales, a small fishing village as well as the ferry boat jump off for island hopping tours to Camara, Capones Islands and Anawangin, Nagsasa and Silangin coves. We are surfers, always searching for the perfect wave. We found this spot that gave us so many wonderful memories. Our surf crew learned to love the barrio’s good vibes, especially the “lokals” who are friendly, kind hearted, humble and honest, hence our name. Now spreading the good vibes, here we are finally sharing our home to you! We hope you enjoy it as much as we always do.

NOTE: The cabin is inspired by the traditional Filipino bahay kubo, please expect that the ceiling on the first floor is low with protruding beam about 5'10" head room so please consider your height when booking our place. It's Asian size. The 2nd floor ceiling is high enough for a 6footer. Please be reminded to bring BUG OFF LOTION or mosquito repellant since it's an outdoor setting. Thanks

Other things to note
Additional info to consider:
1. Please be advised that our cabin is inspired by a typical Filipino bahay kubo or hut, the first floor ceiling height is lower than standard ceiling of a house about 6feet so be careful if you're taller coz you might hit your head on the brace beam, the 2nd floor ceiling is high enough. It's an open style cabin with no screens.
2. Ignacio's overnight pay parking is P200 per car. Our assistants will meet you here at the parking entrance, it is nearest to the river. They will assist and guide you crossing the river mouth if it is open and the 10 min walk towards the cabin.
3. You might be stopped by the DOT outpost upon entering Brgy. Pundaquit for the environmental fee of P20 per person.
4. Towels and toiletries are not provided as listed here. Don't forget to bring your own personal meds, BUG OFF lotion and sun screens.
5. If you need porter/kargador, we can look for a local around P100 depending on how much they would be carrying daw po.
6. Also consider checking Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales Online weather forecast to help you more in planning your trip like if you're planning to do island hopping. We recommend our local assistant for boat ride and he also guides at the nearby falls. Please contact him directly. Will give contact number when booked already.
7. We do not have a WIFI set up. But base on our experience, Data signal is strong for Globe and standard data signal for Smart and other telecoms.
8. No refrigerator. We have 2 big and 1 small ice chest plus 1 styro cooler for fresh fish. There is no ice delivery po. t's better po if you buy tube ice at the town proper (about 3km away from Ignacio's pay parking) or there is tube ice also at the water station near the Pundaquit barangay hall This is around 50 meters before the parking area. A few meters away from Lokalsvibe to buy ice(not tube ice) is at Ate Belen's Sarisari store but stocks might be limited specially during weekends and holidays.
9. For food: Carenderia, vegetable stand and small groceries near LokalsVibe at the main barrio. We suggest to complete your provisions at San Antonio public market about 4km away from the cabin, tricycle fare around 40 per person if you want to commute. At the town proper, there is local short order restaurant there called Nora's near the market and if you want to splurge a little there is Wide Plate restaurant then there's Jollibee, Andoks, Chooks to Go, 711, Fresh Options and you can Waze Fat Belly Deli at Katrina Farm, Brgy Pundakit for wine and cold cuts. There is also a kambingan and Halfway restobar in a nearby barangay San Miguel, you can just use Waze for their location.
10. We use Airbnb platform for all communications about the listing booking. Thanks!
