WHAT CAN YOU FIND IN ASTORIA:
1- Astoria Park:
Astoria Park is smack on the East River with gorgeous views of Upper Manhattan and the Queensboro and Hellgate Bridges. And Robert Moses' Astoria Pool is the king of all outdoor city pools. Definitely a sight to see!
2-Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden:
The only old-school, big beer garden left in New York City, Bohemian Hall is wonderful. Turn off crazy urban 31st Street--the subway overhead--and escape into this huge beer garden with its shady trees, picnic tables, pitchers of icy beer, and platters of hearty Czech food and barbecue. It's a must on summer weekends with stein-thumping live folk music on many afternoons. Bohemia Beer Garden is a true urban oasis for families, visitors, and a cast of neighborhood regulars
3- Museum of the Moving Image:
The arts are picking up steam in Astoria. Local culture is led by the innovative American Museum of the Moving Image. It is one of the finest museums in New York City for kids, for adults, and definitely for movie aficionados
5- Great food and Bars
You will find many different types of foods in Astoria you can have a different nationality everyday for weeks but since Astoria is the Greek capital of NYC Greek food is a must try!

We enjoyed staying at Heidi's apartment. Heidi is very professional and nice. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Thank you.
Heidi's place was great! The place was the perfect size, clean, and in a very convenient location. The R train station was only a few blocks away. She was very responsive and always promptly texted or called back. The neighborhood was very cute. (Note to anyone traveling in and around the Queens area, the dashes on any street address aren't recognized on (website hidden) maps just take them out.) I would definitely recommend staying at Heidi's to anyone traveling to New York. Thanks for everything Heidi!
Heidi was great hostess, she answered any of question very quickly. I got lost when I went to apartment by my mistake, but she also respond quickly.
The apartment is cozy, clean, convenient and safe. I strongly recommend to stay this apartment, and when I visit NY again, I definitely choose to stay this apartment.
Heidi was very accommodating and the apartment was very spacious. She was always available and answered every one of my questions very quickly. I would definitely recommend staying with her!
The place was great and Heidi was a lovely host. She made checking in and out as easy as could be. The trip into Manhattan is quick, so stay here and save yourself some money. Parking is even easy!
Heidi was a wonderful hostess. She answered any questions in a timely manner which I really appreciated. Her apartment was clean, quiet, and welcoming. The neighborhood was safe, and there was much to do within a walking distance. I enjoyed getting to know Astoria, Queens. Her apartment is steps to a bus stop and close to three subway stops. My boyfriend and I had a fabulous time!

Life is what you make of it! At the end of the day we are more likely to regreat the chances we didn't take than any mistakes we made.
I have two lovely children who make me laugh constantly. I don't like how fast they are growing but I guess there's not much I can do about that.
I have a great but busy life. I like to make it a point to enjoy every little moment I have with those I love.
I'm living my dream by living in NYC..... If I'm hosting you in my apartment, I hope you enjoy this wonderful city as much as I do. And if I'm staying in your place, thank you for letting me enjoy a little getaway!
