If you like our apartment please feel free to go ahead and book it! We have our instant booking set on so you can reserve immediately. Also, our calendars are all up to date so you can easily tell if it's available or not. If this unit isn't available for the dates you would like please have a look at our other listings as we have multiple units in the same building.
Please have a look at our photos and our walking tour around our neighborhood - that'll give you the best sense of our place! As shown in the photos, the building itself is a vintage Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. We just completed redesigning the interior of the apartments ourselves inspired by our own feelings and experiences living in Japan. We hand painted the dining area and kitchen using a Indian Blanket Red paint and contrasted that by painting the bedroom with a childhood memory evoking School Bus Yellow paint. We then hand sawed locally grown natural Japanese pine which we used to panel the walls and evoke the feeling of Japanese nature. This natural Japanese pine paneled wall is what we call “the wall of inspiration” where we hang our favorite works that we think embodies the spirit of Japanese artistic tradition mixed with the nature of post-war Japanese culture and society.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) located on the 3rd floor and gets plenty of natural sunlight. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.
We have an elevator in our building so no need to climb stairs after a long day out

Coming from Narita Airport, you can take either the Airport Limousine Bus (3,000 yen) to the Ritz Carlton Hotel at Tokyo Midtown and walk five minutes to the apartment. Or you can hop on the Narita Express train to Tokyo Station and take the metro subway to Nogizaka station. Kazuko, Shozo and Nik
Quite small (no surprise) but has everything you need. A fridge, a microwave, laundry machine, shower etc. It comfortably fits 3 people provided 2 of you sleep in the double bed. The location is awesome. 5 minutes walk to Akasaka station which takes you onto 2 of the central subway lines.
You can tall that Nick really wants his guests to be happy and comfortable in this place and he is a very responsive to questions and comments. The apartment also comes with WiFi, not super fast, but it works. We did not meet Nick personally but the communication was great and we had no problems getting in and out of the place. In any case, I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a small but very central overnight apartment in Tokyo.Don't expect it to be a 5 star hotel or the most luxurious place you've stayed at,but for central Tokyo the rate is very competitive. The place is very clean and if you have any complaints, just email or call Nick, I'm sure he'll help you out
Filip thank you so much for staying with us! It was such a pleasure to host you. We are so happy that you enjoyed your time with us. We do apologize for the roof of the bathroom. Immediately after receiving your feedback we had our entire bathroom power washed with a commercial grade water spray, we then washed all the walls and ceilings with bleach and cleaner, and then resurfaced the ceiling so the bathroom is sparkling clean. We've also implemented a procedure with our cleaning professionals to make sure that it will continue to be in pristine condition going forward. We appreciate the feedback as always. Thank you so much and we hope you can visit us again!
Everything about our stay was fantastic. We booked only a few hours before arriving and our host was very prompt writing back to our messages and getting us ready to stay. We only stayed one night but it was a very comfortable stay, with all information provided to us in advance and the apartment itself being very clean and well set out. The apartment itself is in an amazing location and we were given lots of recommendations for eating, shopping and sightseeing which came in handy. We would highly recommend staying here!
The photos are accurate and the checkin process was well explained and smooth. There is a handbook in the apartment with everything well explained. Location is excellent. Host is friendly and double checked with us during our stay to make sure everything is well.
One very nice bonus is the mobile hotspot which becomes quite useful as we got internet access pretty much everywhere we went in Tokyo!
One thing to note is that there are strict times for checkin and checkout so please make sure to check with the host that the times work for you.
Nice and quiet place near Midtown Tokyo, Ritz Carlton Hotel and Nogizaka Metro Station.
But for first time arrivals from the airport, it's better to take a cab from Ritz Carlton Hotel (after dropping from the airport bus), as it can be a bit confusing to find the place while lugging your baggage.
Even if you take a cab from Shibuya to the place, it only costs about one thousand five hundred yen, which is recommended. All the Tokyo cabbies I met are really helpful and nice.
Also, love the mobile wifi provided.
Kazuko place is awesome in a great location, on the bigger side for a tokyo apartment with everything you need
Convenient location and helpful hosts. Easy check-in and check-out because of detailed description from the hosts. Nice recommendations of what to do nearby as well. Would stay here again.
Fantastic, clean and airy apartment. Heat pump worked well to keep us warm in the apartment. Very central location only minutes from a lovely park and the Rappongi station. As recommended by many people before, do take a taxi from the Ritz Carlton Hotel to the apartment as it is not obvious where it is on first arrival. Once you know where the apartment it then you will have no problem finding it again. We loved the Special christmas lights in the park behind.
Lovely apartment in an excellent location. Apartment is clean and well-maintained. The hosts go all out to make you feel at home by providing cooking condiments, toiletries and even laundry powder! Although we didn't use any of those, we were nonetheless very impressed. Instructions for getting keys and pictorial directions for getting to the apartment and nearby food places were very useful! Loved the mobile wifi as well. Allowed us to use (website hidden) maps and search for useful information while we were exploring the city.
This apartment is comfy, cozy, and perfectly situated for travelling around Tokyo!
We stayed for 6 nights, and it felt like home. Kazuko and Nick were always quick to respond to any questions, and went out of their way to help us - going so far as finding us a contact at the Ghibli museum when we lost our tickets.
The neighbourhood is central. You're only a few blocks in any direction to a train station, and Tokyo Midtown is right across the way. Hinokicho park is right at the end of the street, and is a wonderful little green space.
I can't recommend this apartment strongly enough. It's a great little home base in Tokyo, paired with wonderful hosts.
