Mike was very hospitable and enthusiastic. He served a good hearty breakfast and provided us with a nice map of mt killington for our hiking trip. We would recommend staying here.
Mike is an excellent host. He was quick to respond to messages. He was adorable. You can tell that he generally loves to entertain and get to know the guests. He prepared a wonderful breakfast for us each morning. The property was gorgeous, my wife thought it was a scene right out of Anne of Green Gabbles. It was walking distance to a waterfall up the street. The bed was so comfortable. There was a babbling brook right outside the window, that you fell asleep to each night. The place and host were just darn adorable. If you are looking for a mountain vacation this is the place to stay!
We had a wonderful couple of nights at Mountain Valley Retreat. Mike was an excellent host, cooking us a lovely breakfast and taking us on a guided walk to a nearby waterfall that we would otherwise have missed. Mike and Barbara's home is warm and comfortable and the bedroom cosy with a view over a small waterfall and woodland.Everything was spotlessly clean. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Mike and Barbara were wonderful hosts and made us feel as welcome as anyone possibly could! They have a lovely home and our room was clean and cozy, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Mike took us on a hike and showed us the beautiful surroundings on foot and cooked us a lovely breakfast both mornings we were there. I couldn't recommend this lovely place more! Thanks Mike and Barbara!!
Memorable stay with all the trimmings! Barbara and Mike welcomed us into their home graciously and warmly. Accomodations were above the top and meeting Burt, their new dog, was the creme de la creme. We enjoyed hiking to the nearby falls and just relaxing with nature in their mountain retreat as we slept to the music of the rolling brook outside our bedroom window. We r looking forward to future visits.
Mike and Barb were wonderful hosts and their beautiful home was the perfect location for our stop in Killington, VT. Our room was clean and cozy and we really enjoyed its location which allowed us to go to bed and wake up with the sounds of the little stream next to our window. Mike cooked us a delicious breakfast with eggs from his chickens and then took us on a short hike that my husband and I really loved! We'd definitely stay with Mike and Barb again!
