The house was as described, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate and very near the beach. Heidi, granddaughter of the woman who lives upstairs, was wonderful. She showed us around and arranged a sightseeing trip and gave us great insight into the culture, etc. she was a great asset to our stay there.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay at gibbons place. The house is directly across the street from the ocean down a small hill. It is maybe 50 yards from the waterline, which can be seen from the porch out front. The coast is gorgeous to walk along, the locals and dogs are very friendly and no one is constantly trying to sell you anything because the area has very few tourists (really nice). We watched some local pickup soccer at the soccer field Sunday morning which was fun. There are a couple small shops across the street as well, one you can buy handmade gifts and the other some tasty, reasonably priced food. You can easily walk maybe a mile into a sweet little town, we highly recommend the bakery across from the grocery store there, everything we bought there was amazing! Gibbons place was very basic, of the two beds one was veryy soft and the other was veryy firm. The bathroom needed some work as far as cleanliness but I am sure this will be quickly fixed by Gibbon as he is eager to please and very hospitable. He also invited us to go out with his friends our first night of being in town which made us feel welcome. There was quite a bit of noise from the road, dogs and neighbors nearby at night but the area seemed relatively safe. At the end of our stay we had a mix up with the taxi service provided to us by Gibbon and have had some trouble processing a refund but I am hopeful that it will be resolved soon. Overall the location was beautiful and made the hiccups of our stay still seem worth it.

Enjoyed the gracious guest service. Gibbons was always available and made an effort to make sure my stay was all I wanted it to be. Great Job and I will return. Location was steps away from the beach which made the stay that much more great. He arranged for my transport to and from the airport and to shore activities such as Jet Ski'ing. Awesome services and would recommend to anyone.

Gibbon picked us up from the airport, and from the first moment, we were welcomed and treated as if we were old friends. During our stay we had the privilege of some great conversation and insight into the local culture. I would love to come back and see how everything progresses in the future.

We had a nice stay in Laborie at the Seabreeze Inn. Gibbon was nice and friendly, and the room was simple but perfectly adequate for our needs. We were only there for one night before flying out of Vieux Fort the next day, but we enjoyed exploring the town, walking along the beach, and swimming with the locals. The beach is right across the street from the Inn, and the main town square is only a 5 minute walk away. Smoothies and coffee at the Salt Rush Cafe were great.
