Our small, diversified farm sits on 55 beautiful acres in the heart of Northern California. We are opening our olive orchard to campers over the summer. This is the perfect place to set up camp in a safe and charming place for the night.
The orchard has 200 olive trees, offering both shade and beauty. Enjoy the peace it provides while using our picnic tables, hammock and firepit. We do not provide tents, but you’ll have access to an onsite bathroom with toilet and sink in a repurposed shipping container. You may cook on the farm grill, access the gardens and help yourself to the fruits and vegetables in the fields. There is an outdoor sink and water outlets. You are encouraged to use the gardens, walk the farm and hike our hills to enjoy the view.
We charge $55 per tent. This also includes coffee and fresh rolls with local honey to get your day off to a great start! Campers are responsible for cleaning up their campsite before departure. We had such a lovely time staying at this olive orchard. It was a beautiful, fun and relaxing weekend trip. Alexis has mastered the art of hosting! She (and her adorable dog) were warm and welcome right from the start. She showed us around the property, invited us to use her garden and gave us some great local suggestions. On the property there are two renovated shipping containers that are SO neat. One has been converted into the bathroom that campers use. This is such a fun and unique experience and you could not ask for a better host. Absolutely LOVED it!
The farm experience was absolutely magical. It certainly seems Alexis and her husband have a slice of the good life figured out. We pitched our tent toward the back of the farm overlooking the rolling hills. We were watched by the resident bull and chickens. We left that evening and enjoyed a great evening wine tasting in Napa. The proximity to Napa was perfect. Took us 30 minutes with a little bit of traffic. The next morning we picked a few vine ripened tomatoes and hot peppers and hit the road. If you're interested in a more rustic Napa/Sonoma experience, this is the place for you.
My fiancee and I camped one night at the farm. Alexis was a fabulous host. She set us up with everything we needed and made wonderful local recommendations (Berryessa Brewery & Morningsun Herb Farm). We hiked the hills with the lovable Ella and for dinner grilled fresh peppers, squash and tomato that we picked ourselves. The perfect respite from busy city living. My only wish is that we stayed an extra night. Thank you!
Our stay with Alexis was absolutely amazing. The orchard and the gardens are beautiful.
We were welcomed warmly by Alexis and her loving dogs. We picked a spot for our tent under a 100 year old olive tree and lounged under a neighboring tree with a tire swing.
We were invited to pick some veggies from the garden patch and the tomatoes were amazing!
There is an old storage unit turned into a very quaint bathroom with sinks, mirror and all. Alexis is great and provides hand towels to wash your hands and a lantern to bring back to your tent.
In the morning we woke up a table set with breakfast in the garden with fresh marmalade, coffee, the best bread and giant peaches.
We absolutely loved camping here and would do it again in a heart beat.
Alexis' spirit is inviting and warm and makes even an olive orchard feel like home.
Our stay at Alexis' farm was even better than we thought it was going to be. She was a very thoughtful and sweet host, providing us with a delicious breakfast of local food and a grill and lantern. We made friends with her two pups, Batman (her cat) and her goat. We also picked some veggies from the farm and grilled them for dinner. One of the best 4th of July holidays we've ever had. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you, Alexis!
Rare, and special. Alexis’s farm is a glimmering treasure trove of lavender fields, cottage gardens, and rows of vegetable fields set against the classic California backdrop of golden rolling hills and oaks. We setup tent under a canopy of silvery olive orchards….with the feeling of isolation, but with the comforts of home that have become more rare this day and age – breakfast set out in an herb garden of hot pressed coffee, organic straus milk, toasted bread, and butter, honey, and jams from local farms. The place is magical, it’s filled with soul and charm. From the handsome goat Wanda, to the massive and playful cow Stan, it is teeming with life. A perfect reset from the city. We can’t wait to stay again.
Toby and Sara, how can Eric and I convey how special it is to meet people now and then that seem to be part of the farm already. It was a delight to see you both walking around the farm exploring and appreciating the birds, the animals, batman the cat! You will always be welcome here at Soul Food Farm. Hope your spending this last day of the long weekend relaxing.
My partner and I camped in the olive orchard over Memorial Day weekend. We really enjoyed the experience and exploring the land. Alexis was helpful, welcoming and kind. It was warm and windy, but olives trees provided shelter from wind and we cooked dinner on her camp stove. Her two sweet farm pups wandered and hung around with us, which we really loved and was a highlight. If you aren't a dog person, certainly don't have this deter you, just a delightful bonus if you are. Thank you Alexis, Ella and Dixie :)
