No cleaning fee. Respecting this place and leaving it in a reasonably clean and orderly condition will allow us to fully refund your deposit as we would love to do. we are eco friendly and would appreciate keeping the thermostat at a reasonable temperature the summer while in the apartment and adjusting if leaving for the day. we have ceiling fans in all the rooms and that helps keeps things cool on their own.
This apartment was everything we needed for our Atlanta stay. It's location makes for easy access to the surrounding neighborhoods. (Also, the Natural History Museum is right across the street). It was clean and comfortable and very peaceful. Our hosts were very nice and helpful; I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Highlights include an amazing backyard and fantastic water pressure in the shower. Recommended.
Great neighborhood. Nice place. Separate apartment to yourself. It was very cold (30-34°F) & there is a wall unit heater in the small living room. I didn't think it was sufficient for the whole place. There was plenty of blankets for the bed though.
Hey Neil, we really don't like people to be uncomfortable and had you told us we would have told you to bump the central heating up and or the new system on the wall goes up to 80 degrees. When we introduce ourselves we always ask people to let us know if you have any questions and we mean that!
The name says it all. It is truly an urban oasis within a beautiful neighborhood that's minutes from some of the best restaurants, shops, and attractions Atlanta has to offer. It is a short walk to some great restaurants in Candler Park, and a short drive to Five Points. Dennis and Debra were gracious hosts. The accommodations are cozy and perfect for a couple or a solo getaway. We'll certainly be back soon.
Why would anyone want to stay in a hotel when you can stay in Dennis and Debra's Urban oasis. I had a very pleasant stay in their adorable, beautifully decorated and super comfortable apartment. Only negative was I couldn't enjoy the beautiful outdoor deck area because of the weather. I'm sure it's awesome in spring. It's perfect for 2 people. Bed is super comfy. They were great and easy to communicate with and I had the fortunate opportunity to meet Dennis while I was out for a walk. Debra checked in with me to see if I needed anything. Great hosts with a personal touch.
Debra and Dennis were quick to respond to our request, available when we checked in and felt as if we needed anything they would be there to help out but the accommodations were all set and we had everything we needed.
The shower was super with great water pressure-nice after a long day at a yoga workshop and the bed comfy. It was also nice to have the black out curtains so we were able to sleep in in the morning. Quiet peaceful setting. There was a sweet little porch that we would have enjoyed if we had more time and the weather was a bit warmer. Having the bathroom up stairs and bedroom down took a little getting used to especially in the middle of the night.
This was my first airbnb experience and it was a very positive one. Dennis and Debra are wonderful hosts and have created a very comfortable apartment for their guests. The apartment is very quiet and overlooks a beautiful backyard that feels like a natural park like setting. I had a very stressful trip to Atlanta and every time I returned to their "urban oasis" I had the feeling of serenity and tranquility that has been challenging for me to find in an Atlanta hotel. I travel to Atlanta frequently and have finally found lodging that offers peaceful comfort and solitude. The neighborhood is great, too, and I did a lot of walking (even at night) without ever feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. I hope to stay in this apartment again during my next trip to Atlanta.
I love staying here. It was nice and cozy and the backyard is beautiful! Debra and Dennis were very accommodating, anything I needed they were right there. It was a perfect place for my boyfriend and I to escape to for a few days! Would def go back again!
Hello! Thanks for considering our space in your travel plans! My wife and I are artists, who own a small furniture store, where we feature hand painted furniture and lovingly restored vintage items. We like to travel, ourselves, and used AirBnB exclusively, on a long trip in Italy last year, and loved it! It's a great way to meet people, and get the skinny on what it's really like to live in a certain place, and find out the inside scoop on where to go, and what to do. We are big walkers, and urban explorers, so glad to help you with suggestions and tips, if you want them.
Welcome to Atlanta!
