  • This was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect location - walking distance to Haight Street, the beach and Golden Gate Park. Easy to find and easy to park. Elizabeth has a beautiful home and view. I wish I had more time to take her up on the offers of coffee, wine, cooking etc but I was too busy exploring!

  • Elisabeth has been the most wonderful person I have met so far.
Her home is really the Palace of the Soul!
I've felt such a positive and peaceful energy as soon as I have arrived. My room was amazingly well kept and so orginized. Elisabeth provides you with everything that you need to know for your trip, she is very knowledgable and always ready to guide you, and she has also a wonderful family.
I am so glad that I have found Elisabeth for my first time in San Francisco, this was a relief, being so far from my family and friends and still feel like home here... This is her magic!

  • I would highly recommend staying at the Palace of the Soul. It's really comfortable and homely with a stunning view of the city from the beautiful terrace and garden. Elizabeth and her family are lovely, welcoming and ready to help out with directions and recommendations.
I stayed here for a week while I was at a conference. The place is full of character and a welcome change from lonely old hotels.

  • I throughly enjoyed my visit at The Palace of the Soul. It was truly my home away from home during my two week stay here. Elizabeth and her family were very warm and friendly and made me feel very welcome, especially since I was staying there during the Xmas holidays. She has a beautiful garden and a great view of the San Franciso skyline which adds to the stay.Elizabeth is a very special person and great host and I look forward to staying at her home in the very near future.

  • My stay at Palace of the Soul was simply amazing. Elizabeth was a pleasure and thought of many details anticipating my arrival; bottled water, cookies, breakfast snacks-since I was arriving late in the evening and may not have figured out my morning schedule yet. The house was beautiful, the room was super clean (I'm super critical about cleanliness). My room was large with its own bathroom, a desk if I needed to work, and so much more. I was very impressed (which is unusual for my picky self). The plus is that Elizabeth is a kind hearted soul. You MUST check out her cottage if you want a private apartment during your stay. Pictures will not do it justice.

I am a visionary artist and teacher. I live in San Francisco at the gorgeous Palace of the Soul where I love to welcome my tribe of Cosmic Cowgirls as well as mystic adventurers from other lands!!! I have been a traveler all my life from the time I was 6 months old and so as my three beautiful children begin to fly the nest for their own adventures, it is a great pleasure to open my very unique home to other fellow adventurers. I adore people....all kinds and all ages and as a host I will welcome you and I am willing to be your guide to this wonderful city or let you discover it for yourself. I do my best to be sensitive to what it is that you want from your stay and to provide you with a warm, welcoming and peaceful sanctuary from where you can explore this incredible city. I work at home as an artist and so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available for check ins and visiting with my guests if they like to visit. I live with my sweetheart, Fast Freddy Sims who is a very talented blues musician, songwriter, artist and landscape designer. My youngest daughter (17) still lives at home and my older two children come and go (22 and 19). I would describe our household as a loving, kind family who are very passionate and dedicated to self-expression and the arts. I have lived in Italy, England, Brazil, and Mexico and traveled to Greece, Scotland, Peru,Germany, Holland, Portugal, Spain, the Seychelles, many islands in the Caribbean, France and there are probably countries that I am forgetting. My style of traveling has changed throughout the years and so I believe that I understand and am open to travelers of all types. My art depicts a spiritual journey, the telling of a story that contactsthe viewer at the level of the soul. My art inspires others to look more deeply at the work and at themselves as they view layers and layers of prayer, hope, paradox and spirit woven together between particles of paint, bead, rhinestone, shell, bone and glitter. As a teacher, I encourage my students to explore materials that animate their sense of wonder, joy and play. By playing with the sparkle of jewels, beads & glitter the divine sparkle of imagination that lives within each of us is awakened and we gain access to our own healing and personal transformation. Creating in this way leads us to the understanding of how the sacred exists in matter in our physical world and this wisdom integrates our spiritual, emotional and physical selves. I call it "Glitteracy"!!!!!! I believe that we all have a story to tell, a song to sing, a painting to paint, an important gift to share with the world and my life has and is dedicated to "opening the Door of Possibilities" so that I, my family, friends, loved ones and global community can discover what their's is. I believe that the greatest gift of my life is the presence of other people in it and your presence in my home is a gift that I am grateful for.
