It was great staying at Shein's place! Shein and his friends took a roadtrip down to Bago and Golden Rock to so I joined with them. It was really a pleasure to meet your friends. At the end the house feels like another home to me! Although the house is out of the city centre, the taxi is easy to negotiate and pretty cheap. There is also direct bus that leads to Sure P(website hidden) (downtown). The house is very close to the airport so it was very convenient for me. I would like to stay in Shein's place if I do visit Yangon again. Thank you very much.
Really nice experience. Shein is a very nice host. He picked/dropped me at airport and took me to have the local breakfast. It's beyond my expectation. Highly recommend.
The room was good but without a key, no hot water in the shared bathroom. Everything went mostly fine, despite Phyo wasn't there what he just told me after confirming my booking. You'll need about over an hour to downtown, due to the slow traffic, but the place is quiet. No breakfast. Thanks
Mijn laatste nacht in Yangon.
I stayed with Phyo Aung during my first and last night in Yangon and he was an excellent host. Not only did he pick me up at the airport but he also drove me around Yangon whenever he had some free time. Phyo Aung's house is conveniently located near the airport and the city is only a ten minute taxi ride away. The internet connection was even better than at the hotels and his suggestion for dinner was fantastic. I would definitely stay with Phyo Aung again.
I stayed with Phyo for 2 separate nights and want to say it was a true pleasure! The living arrangements are very nice and comfortable. The location can be a bit difficult to find, as (website hidden) maps lists his address in the wrong location. Do confirm the address in Burmese with Phyo before coming so you can tell your cab driver correctly.
Also, I would like to give Phyo himself high accolades, as he goes above and beyond the call of duty to help you enjoy your stay. He even went as far as waking up at 5am to deliver me to the bus station so I could successfully travel to the beach. I doubt I would have been able to have done half the things in Yangon without his help. A genuine person and incredibly helpful. Stay here if you come to Yangon!!
I stayed at the home of Phyo for three days and found my room, spacious and comfortable. The staff working in the house were both helpful and friendly and have some English language ability. The property is located quite close to the airport and I was met on arrival by one of Phyo's staff. However the location in Mayangon Township is several miles from downtown Yangon and takes takes some 30minutes to reach most destinations via an easily available taxi service.A simple breakfast was provided and there are some restaurants within half a mile of the house. The room and house was clean and provided a perfect option for my first stay in Yangon,
