About this listing
-MOST BEAUTIFUL, CENTRAL AREA, FANTASTIC PRICE!
-LATE CHECK IN WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COSTS
-WLAN, TOWELS, BEDLINEN INCLUDED
-FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN
This bright and spacious appartment has the rich wooden floor and the high ceilings which are so typical for berlin buildings from the early twentieth century.
The master bedroom is furnished with a huge double bed (200 x 200), a 70ties lounge area and the two photographs the apartment is named after (find out for yourself). The sofa can be converted into an extra double bed (140 x 200)
The second bedroom is furnished with modular beds that can either be used as single beds or as double beds.
Two 70ties lounge chairs make the second bedroom comfy to sit in, and can also be turned into additional beds! Therefore the apartment offers bedding for up to six people. We recommend not more than five, though, otherwise the bathroom might get too crowded :)
The kitchen is equipped with basic spices, oil, vinegar, an espressomachine including espresso, milk, a toaster, a refridgerator, a gas oven, TV, and a Vinyl Player from the 70ties, including a selection of our favorite vinyls.
The table is an original lübke design table which fits the four white DDR Z-chairs very well. From the french window you overlook the huge garden in the backyard.
There is Wifi for free in the whole apartment.
The bathroom has a shower, a hairdryer and a washing machine.
Our accomodation is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Berlin, in a lively side-street of the popular Kastanienallee with its small bars, Restaurants, galleries and second-hand-shops, right in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. Living only a few meters away from the Mauerpark you have the possibility for a relaxed stroll over one of the most interestig fleemarkets in Belin. The public transportation makes it possible to reach all the interesting sites of the city within 5 to 15 minutes, no matter if Alexanderplatz, Reichstag, or checkpoint charlie.
-The apartment is located in a normal house with friendly but working neighbors that appreciate a good nights sleep!
-Smoking is not allowed.
-We try to be as environmental-friendly as possible - please stick to the following rules:
- SEPARATE YOUR TRASH
-SWITCH LIGHTS OFF WHEN YOU LEAVE
-DO NOT HEAT WITH THE WINDOWS OPEN
Please note that we try to avoid washing that is toxic to the environment (like detergents containing chlorine). Therefore, our linen and towels might not always be as white as in a hotel! Please help us in our efforts by not MISUSING THE TOWELS TO F.E. DYR YOUR HAIR/SWEEP THE FLOOR/USE IT AS MAKE-UP-REMOVER.
Thanks a lot, and please excuse the bold letters :)
The flat is very well situated in a very nice place and the neighborhood is really smart (Many restaurants, snack, shop, bar, biergarten...).
The apartement is beautiful, practical and not expensive. But the shower is obsolete and has to be upgraded.
Thanks to Jeff for his welcome, explanations and advice.
TO BE RECOMMENDED !
The apartment is very nice and it is located in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. If I come back to Berlin, I would try to come to this apartment again.
Ons verblijf was heel aangenaam.
A really great apartment in a fantastic location. Good communication received to arrange pick up of the key. Couldn't have chosen better, thank you!
Me and my 3 friends stayed in Lulu and Mieke's apt for 4 days. The apt is very spacious. The walls are really thick (good isolation). It's close to the S-bahn. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to get from Berlin HptBahnhof to the apt. The area is really very nice and the street is beautiful. Lots of restaurants and vintageshops. There's a great Indian restaurant across the street (very cheap and tasty!).
We had an enjoyable stay in Lulu's apartment. It's located very close to public transport and has a great bunch of cafes and restaurants in the street and suburb.
The apartment itself is very spacious, and comfortably fit 4 adults. However, just bear in mind that the hot water in the shower runs out if you do some washing in the washing machine ;)
Lulu was responsive and we had no problems finding the place to check in. Thanks again!

About the Host, Lulu & Mieke
Me (dark hair) and my friend Mieke (blond hair) have been friends for ages. We both love traveling - we hitch-hiked the pan american highway from Canada to Brasil when we were 20 (our mothers hated it!) - and we want to offer our guests a "home away from home" how we would like it.
Both of us think that not only the sight-seeing highlights like Brandenburg gate are interesting, but also the normal districts, the houses and streets are of major importance for getting an insight view of the city. This is the advantage of a vacation rental.
We hope that all our guests are happy with their stay and are always happy to help - except too late at night of course : )
See you in Berlin,
Lulu & Mieke
