About this listing
These are the only wood-framed, blue buildings in Tamarindo! They are well built and have the essentials you'll need for a pleasant stay. Full kitchen, A/C, wireless internet and a common area with BBQ grill and a place to wash the sand off.
The property is gated, and the common area has an outdoor shower, lounge chairs and beautiful, natural flora.
You have your own space, a full kitchen, but not a hundred other guests to contend with. This unit sleeps 3 people comfortably. Upstairs is a queen bed and a single bed. Downstairs is the bathroom, kitchen, eating area and a sofa bed that can be used if there are more guests (see extra fee).
The A/C is upstairs, but will cool the entire house down when the widows and door stay shut. There is hot water in the shower and the kitchen has the things you'll need to cook a meal at "home".
We reside on the property, so your arrival time can be pre-arranged. Please let us know your ETA so we can plan our day.
The gate to the property remains locked at all times, please help us keep the property secure for all guests.
Interaction with Guests
Bob is often busy in his shop, but when he's not, both he and Sue may be found hanging around the property (working or relaxing) or on the beach. Don't be a stranger, please say hello and help us get to know you!
The neighborhood is close to everything. The cabins are close enough to walk to the beach or into town, but far enough to not hear the late night noise of the bars!
We often see howler monkeys in the trees across the street.
Walking is pretty easy in Tamarindo. The side roads are un-paved, but the main roads are paved. It may get a bit dusty in the dry season, but there is a shower in the common area and the beach is always close by (600 meters)! There is parking at the Cabinas, so if you will have a car you will have a place to park just outside our gated area.
Other Things to Note
Bella, our dog, is usually very friendly. If you are freight ended of dogs, she will recognize that as danger. Buster is our cat, and he is quite friendly and may walk right in if you leave your door open!
We all try to respect one another and keep the noise level down when others are trying to relax or sleep (early mornings before 8 am or evenings after 8 pm).
To help keep the cost of renting our cabins low, please help us conserve electricity. Electric costs are quite high here in Costa Rica, so if you are leaving for the day, please turn off the AC, the lights and the fans. The cabin will cool down quickly when you return and you don't waste electricity! Thanks so much.
