About this listing
My apartment is a spacious 2nd floor with two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, dining and living room.
The PRIVATE bedroom I'm offering in this listing has one twin bed, dresser and blanket chest & chair (see pics) + hall closet.
••I'm now accepting requests from students AND teachers who will be attending local colleges and are looking for a cozy place for the winter term. $757 a month covers ALL!••
I have one bath (shared). It has an open floor plan that provides privacy for my guests, is fully furnished and has a cozy atmosphere. The sunny dining area seats four, perfect for a continental breakfast. I provide coffee, muffins and yogurt in the morning. The kitchen is available for you to prepare a meal or if you just need the fridge to store water & snacks.
The house on Carroll Ave. is in a great location less than 1/2 a mile from Ocean Drive. It is near 3 open parks, a tennis court and is walking distance to the village, the Cliff Walk and Easton Beach. It's only a stone's throw to Fort Adams if you want to be here for summer concerts!! It's also a great area for bike riding (not congested) and has easy street parking. You're a quick walk to Thames St. with it's quaint shops, great dining and harbor front treasures. You are also walking distance to the grandeur of the mansions on Bellevue Avenue.
After Memorial day there are ALL types of festivals (almost) every weekend that continue right thru the holidays!!! The village of Newport is bustling in the summer but there ARE secret get-a-ways and there's ALWAYS something to do.
My place is slightly off the beaten path ~ which means it's "quiet" but still walking distance to everything. There's FREE on-street parking - a real plus! There are several "green" parks nearby plus a tennis court, basketball court and small baseball diamond. Fort Adams is just down the road ~ 3-5 mins. by car, 15 mins. by bicycle and 45 min. on foot.
