Located in an antique home (C. 1760) in town, the unit consists of two bedrooms, each with a single bed, a full bathroom and a living room with single bed and TV. Ladder leads to a roofwalk with unparalleled views of the harbor and Nantucket Sound.
Listing comprises the entire third floor of the house with unparalleled views and privacy. Have cocktails on the roofwalk at sunset and watch the lights of Nantucket come on below you. Easy walk to Main Street and all of downtown.
Guests have access to the space listed, plus agreed upon use of the backyard.
Interaction with Guests
Guests may interact with me as much or as little as they wish. It's really up to them. Owner will be present during all available times.
House is in the heart of the historic district, just minutes from Main Street and all of downtown. Superb architecture, many museums, shops and restaurants define the extended neighborhood. Go back to the 19th century with a 21st century overlay.
Shuttle bus stops for exploring the island are within a 10-minute walk of the house. Additionally there are numerous on-call taxi companies, bike rentals and even car rentals within 10 minutes of the house.
Other Things to Note
The breakfast offered is Continental style. Guests must request breakfast the evening before. Breakfast will not be served after 9 AM.
For families with small children-the stairs leading to the suite are very steep and narrow-no child gate is provided.
This is a residential neighborhood with houses closely abutting each other, so concern for the neighbors is mandatory. Adherence to noise regulations is mandatory. No pets are allowed and smoking is only allowed outside. Excessive untidiness will result in a cleaning charge.
Use of the roofwalk is at the guests' discretion. Host assumes no liability for its use. By reserving this space, guests agree to this waiver of any liability on the host's part.
Parking: For those guests who must have a car, please note that only street parking is available. That has a 2 hour limit between the hours of 7AM and 6 PM through September 30th. Guests can obtain a parking permit from the Nantucket Police for $10 per day.
Love Nantucket, music, old movies, fishing, boating and cooking. Active in my church and communities. As a host, I can be a friend or just the landlord, or anything in between-it's really up to the guest.
