Just a birdcall away from giant leafy trees and the sprawling greenery of the Botanical Reserve. If you have a small party who want a spacious living space with the comforts of home but the compactness of an easy care suite, then this is the place for you.
This relaxed, private and completely renovated old Mediterranean style 2bdrm hideaway is perfectly situated: Ridgeline tramping tracks on the adjoining hills flow to the nearby sea and down into bush valleys with riverside swimming holes. The trail head to these is only a one minute walk from 8 Arches. If you turn the other direction and walk two blocks you can join the riverside walking/biking track long the beautifully landscaped Maitai River. The Riverside pool beckons a wee bit farther down the footpath and the town centre is not much further. Bring your bikes and it is a short and easy ride along the river to the harbour and beyond that to Nelson's best beach, Tahunanui.
Once you arrive there is no need for a car. Open your door and walk toward the sea and you are now a couple minutes walk from the Queens Gardens Reserve, the Chinese gardens, the Suter Art Gallery and the gourmet-style food of the Suter Gallery Cafe. Walk two minutes more and you are in the City Centre, with the temptations of the Saturday and Wednesday Farmer's Markets, or a pizza at Stefano's and a movie at the State Cinema close to hand. Walk to the nearby Sprig and Fern or Freehouse and hoist a couple of pints, enjoy some fish and chips or Indian food and don't worry about calling a taxi as you are only a five minute walk back to your accommodation. Treat yourself to a gourmand's feast and walk the 5 minutes to the sweet, intimate dining at "Mint." There is an great selection of wines with a wine-tasting bar, and freshly-caught Nelson fish at Fresh Choice supermarket, also a 5 minute walk.

Big thanks to Jarrod and PJ. Your home was in a fabulous location, very homely and had fantastic views from the sundeck. A nice short walk from the shops in Nelson and we did the walk up the hill to the "Centre of NZ" which was conveniently located across the road. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen fairly well equipped. Overall a great place to stay for our short visit to your wonderful city. :)
What a great spot in Nelson! My partner and I stayed with our 10 month old son and found the house met all our needs: Spacious, well equipped and homely. It was also just out of the center of town, enough to enjoy a quiet stay but close enough to wander in and enjoy.
Hosts were very professional and accommodating..Would reccomend to anyone considering a stay in the lovely Nelson!
Thanks for a fantastic stay! We loved this cozy little place and felt very at home with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, including a beautiful leafy park across the road and just a short stroll's distance into the town centre. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

I along with my husband and Jarrod are Nelson locals. We have a passion for the Nelson lifestyle and take great enjoyment from sharing the best of this experience with visitors to our region!
We love to travel and experience places first hand, but we like our personal space, privacy and a retreat from the busyness of the A to B and bustle of trying to see it all!
We know that to really make the most of your travels you need more than just a roof over your head. By providing you with accommodations in Nelson's best locations with all the support you need when you need it you can share in the experience that makes Nelson such a fantastic place to live - the views, the beauty, the freedom and the convenience and in our homes and apartments - the comfort too.
