Other Things to Note
A great and rare thing about the house is how uniquely quiet it is for nyc. Its a quiet street and the rooms are very well insulated.
I love using airbnb and sharing our home with guests. I love the sense of community it brings. I rent two bedrooms in the house, so if you're staying in one, it is possible that there will be a guest in the other. I take the utmost care in screening all potential guests so that they have reviews, completed profiles, and multiple secure verifications. So you can feel safe and comfortable and so can I. Ive have had over 100 different folks stay with us and all have been cool, delightful people from all over the world!
There are two full bathrooms for all to share, a big living room, and big open kitchen. I love when guests make themselves at home and make use of the common spaces, but also ask they they be considerate of them as well and conscious of anyone else in the house.
I am not a fan of having lots of specific "rules" other than we ask guests to remember this is our home and be considerate & respectful of the space & use common sense. Just a couple things: please avoid eating in the bedroom and please dry yourself off in the tub before stepping out to avoid getting water on the floor.
From midnight to 8am, I am mutually respectful of anyone getting their rest after an exhausting work day or exploring NYC. But you're welcome to do your thing and come and go as you please at any hour.
That's about it. We look forward to meeting you!
Chris was a terrific host and her place was a short walk to the subway and everything else in Williamsburg. Her recommendations for places to see/visit were spot on. And her own restaurant was close by and delicious! She's very relaxed and welcoming-I thoroughly enjoyed my stay over a long weekend.
During our journey we have found the studio from Chris and booked it very spontaneously. Everything works very good! Chris answered within short time.
We were very happy to stay in this historic house, which is really nice furnished! The neighbourhood is really amazing!! Everything there you need. Great bars and shops...
Chris is very straightforward and she made shure that we get the key although she was not there.
We really enjoyed to stay here during our trip.
Thanks for everything!!
Chris' place is great. Location is super and house has everything you need. Chris is super chilled and it was very easy to check in and out. Didn't see her too much because our schedules clashed but I knew she would always respond if I needed to ask her something. Couldn't recommend more!
Chris's house is a nice place in the Williamsburg neighborhood. She was a very welcoming host. It is a short walk to the subway over the Williamsburg bridge into Manhattan and a 15 minute walk to the M line. The room I stayed in was nice and the bathroom was kept clean. My stay was in the middle of summer and the common areas of the home have no air conditioning, so it is very hot. I had a window unit in my room which functioned well.
Great room in an awesome location. Chris was lovely and we had a great night (email hidden), Cubana Social, which is just 10 minutes walk away. Easy parking in the are and a great rage of cafes, bars and shops to explore.
Chris welcomed me and my daughter into her home. She gave a tour of the house, a list of her recommendations for eating and sites to see around Brooklyn. She answered all questions, and provided a great breakfast to start our day off. I would highly recommend Chris, and I'm already planning my next visit. Great location, and easy access to the subway to get around the city.
