As annex of an former water mill, this small guest house is located directly above the river. Surrounded by lush vegetation, with view over the valley to the sea, it is only a 15 min. walk away from the center of Ribeira Grande.

The space
Private, detached studio for 2 (Combined living / sleeping area with double bed) that is set back approx. 50 feet from our main residence, a former Watermill on the riverside.
Small but well-equipped kitchen (gas stove with oven, water heater, toaster, coffee maker). Bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. Fireplace, Balcony over the river and courtyard with barbecue and sun loungers.
Two of the best surfing beaches in the Azores are just 5 min. by car and 15 -30 min. walk away.

The Ribeira Grande City Council has introduced a tourist tax to be implemented from 1 January 2025. It will be €2 per person for the first 3 nights (12 Euro for two)

We have two cats but they normally don't bother our guests.

Our watermill is located in a warm and humid climate that is teeming with wildlife. Depending on the time of year and the weather conditions, guests may encounter mosquitoes, ants or other bugs.
While we do utilize regular pest control services, we are unable to offer any guarantees against or refunds for the occasional bug that may make it inside our home. We do our best to prevent this from occurring and guests can help by keeping doors closed and disposing of trash and storing food in a responsible manner.
