About this listing
Our secluded and shaded cabin is only a mile away from Beverly Hills, 8 from the beach, and 9 from Downtown. Close to the freeway but distant enough away to be peaceful. Enjoy a respite from the congestion when you return after a hard day!
Tucked away in a shaded wooded backyard lies your retreat from the bright L.A. sun. Centrally located, steps away from main bus routes, yet located in suburban Beverlywood and shielded from the big city noise, our back house cabin is the perfect place for retiring after a hard day touring or conducting business.
The cabin has its own entrance and comes with wireless access, as well as a large screen monitor you can plug your laptop into for Internet videos or Netflix. The property has plenty of parking.
The cabin comes with a queen bed and a comfortable pull-out couch. We can accommodate additional sleepers with a mattress or sleeping bags.
Our outdoor firepit is open for your use (fires or cooking). There also is a kitchenette area with a burner and a refrigerator for your use. Please feel free to borrow our bicycles for a bike around the city (Beverly Hills is only one mile away and the bike path to the Pacific Ocean is even less than that). Iron and ironing board are also available for your use, along with once-a-week laundry on multiple night stays. We know that it's hard to travel with a lot of the amenities of home and we hope to make those available to you. Let us know what you might need ahead of time and we will try to have it ready.
Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable and worry-free as possible.
Quiet, suburban streets in the midst of the urban jungle. Perfect for day or night walks or just sitting and listening to the sounds of the birds and neighborhood critters.
Multiple bus lines from two transit authorities run up and down Robertson Boulevard, half a block away. The Metro Green Line station is a mile away. We will be happy to introduce you to Lyft and Uber for personal cab service and one free ride through a trusted Lyft driver.
Other Things to Note
We apologize for having to put this in details instead of pricing, but AirBnB has not yet devised a system where we can change the pricing for one-night stays. Our price for one-night stays is $80 as opposed to the usual $70 rate (for stays under a week) to make up for the extra work involved in the quick turn-around on both ends. When you book a one-night stay we will counter with a special price of $80 which you may or may not accept. Thank you for understanding.
Also, sorry parents, but babies are people too! That said, we'd love to have you, and might have some special supplies for you, but please request, e.g., booking for three if there's two parents a kid (or four for two parents and two kids).
Please be refrain from public use of profanity. Please turn off lights and other appliances when you leave for extended periods. Out of respect for your privacy, we will never enter your room to turn off appliances left on during your stay.
We have a pet bunny right now living in the backyard, so please make sure to close the gate when you come and go. :)
Pets will only be allowed under specified circumstances and will never be allowed inside the cabin. If pets are brought into the cabin without permission a minimum $50 cleaning fee will be withheld from the security deposit. However, we do have a large enclosed yard that your pet is free to roam in safely.
David and his wife were wonderful host, they tried their best to make sure we were comfortable and their place is in a quiet and nice location, felt very safe walking around outside. Your living area is very spacious and they had everything we needed. I would recommend staying there and I plan on staying here again when I visit that area.
David came up HUGE for me after a previous place fell through, but shame on me for not seeing his listing earlier. It was the perfect place for me & my girlfriend. Cool backyard "cabin" with everything you need and close to the Beach, Beverly Hills & WeHo.
David was great in coordinating a late check-in and I'm grateful for his assistance.
David's place was comfortable and relaxed. It was nice to spend a little time outside before heading off to sleep. We just needed a quiet space to rest after picking up a friend from the airport before heading out to the Sierras, and this was the right spot for that. Decent restaurants in walking distance, cool neighborhood. I'd recommend it for anyone just needing a decent spot for a night or three.
David and Tara were perfect hosts, friendly people. The location was great, the cabin was exactly what we need for our trip - tidy comfortable place and privacy in very good location of LA.
We really enjoed it and would recommend.
My experience with David & Tara's home couldn't have gone any better. Lovely neighborhood, lovely people, great atmosphere. The cabin is very clean, spacious, & makes you feel right at home! & the privacy is a huge plus. You can walk in/out without disturbing them. Will definitely be returning soon!
The cabin was easy to find, and checking in and checking out was a breeze. This cabin is centrally located to major tourist attractions, and close to I-10. We had no problem driving to Beverly Hills, Malibu Beach, Santa Monica Pier and shopping centers close by. There are multiple delicious eating establishments (The Empanada Factory is amazing, as well as the Bagel Factory) within walking distance or a very, very, short drive. You might expect that since it is close to major thoroughfares, it would be loud. However, it was peaceful, quiet, and more than adequate. It was three of us, and we had no problems settling in. The cabin was very clean, was stocked with towels, had a hot plate and a small refrigerator that was perfect size. The bed and the pull out couch were comfortable and large enough. The restroom was a very good size, and we did not feel cramped at all. We have traveled to places where parking is an issue, but not here. Parking on the street was very convenient. It is a wonderful, safe, neighborhood that instills a sense of calmness and peace. The cabin is behind the house, and provided an even greater sense of security. The Zarmi's were kind and generous and even gave us great trip suggestions. They asked us if we needed anything, and were very nice. I would definitely recommend the Zarmi cabin! In fact, we decided to stay in the cabin again when we came back to LA a few days later.
Unfortunately I did not get to meet David but he was very polite and accommodating during our conversations over email/text. He gave clear instructions and was very thoughtful, making sure everything was in order. The listing was just as described. It was a cozy one bedroom cabin situated in their backyard but felt as if it were a separate property. I would definitely recommend David and his backyard cabin to anyone staying in LA.

About the Host, David
My wife Tara and I are a fun-loving couple who are new to home-ownership. We both have an intimate knowledge of Los Angeles (Tara is a native Angelina, while I have a tourist's eye as a Wisconsin native). We look forward to getting to know you or giving you complete privacy as you prefer. Our goal is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
I work as a prosecutor for the California Department of Justice while Tara works part-time as a legal consultant. We enjoy hiking the wild areas of Los Angeles, taking in the best beaches, staying up with the latest movies, and just sitting by the fire having a drink.
