House - Entire home/apt · David Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90034, United States

The Space

Tucked away in a shaded wooded backyard lies your retreat from the bright L.A. sun. Centrally located, steps away from main bus routes, yet located in suburban Beverlywood and shielded from the big city noise, our back house is the perfect place for retiring after a hard day touring or conducting business.

The back house has its own entrances. The room comes with wireless access, as well as a large screen monitor you can plug your laptop into for Internet videos or Netflix. The property has plenty of parking.

The room comes with a queen bed and an optional additional twin. We can accommodate additional sleepers with blow-up mattresses or sleeping bags.

Our outdoor firepit and propane grill are open for your use (fires or cooking). There also is a kitchenette area with a burner and a refrigerator for your use. Please feel free to borrow our bicycles for a bike around the city (Beverly Hills is only one mile away and the bike path to the Pacific Ocean is even less than that). Iron and ironing board are also available for your use, along with once-a-week laundry on multiple night stays. We know that it's hard to travel with a lot of the amenities of home and we hope to make those available to you. Let us know what you might need ahead of time and we will try to have it ready.

Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable and worry-free as possible.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • When we arrived (we were 10 Minuten early) at the cabin it didn't seem very welcoming. It wasn't cleaned up yet.
So we decided to check the area around the cabin. Everything is near by (beach, downtown, Hollywood...).
When we came back, the cabin was tidied up.
In the nights it has been a little chilly. But with the heaters we were fine.
David and tzepah are a nice couple. They provided a lot of information about LA and what to do.

    Response from David:

So glad that everything worked out beautifully in the end! Sometimes an early arrival is difficult or impossible for us because the previous guest did not leave on time, but we will always communicate with you to make sure that everything is ready when you need it!

  • Sweet little space with a great price. Awesome shower with a duel head. Doesn't have a full kitchen in case you're expecting that. But mini fridge is there :) ...Easy location near the freeway. Friendly hosts!

    Response from David:

Thanks so much for coming--it was fun having you!

  • Pictures are deceiving. The hosts are very nice, but the place didn't seem ready for incoming guests. Has great potential to be a perfect place to stay...with a little more upkeep.

    Response from David:

We are so sorry that our experience was not what you expected. We heard nothing but praise from you when you were here and were unable to do anything to make your stay better. You booked last minute and we understood that you were aware we were still cleaning from the previous guest when you arrived. Last, we wish we knew what part of the pictures are deceiving. All the same furniture is in the room, although we rearrange it from time to time... Please communicate with your hosts to let them know when something is not to your liking rather than saving it for the review when they can no longer do anything to help.

  • For the price, it was exactly what we were after. My bf and I stayed here for a night on our road trip up the west coast. Great location, clean bed, warm shower and friendly hosts.

So glad you had a great time! Thanks for staying!

  • Tzepah and David are friendly people.
You can easily reach David by email, he always answers.
The cabin is still being renovated and it was a little cold sometimes but there was some heaters and the price is unbeatable. Bed and shower are good and Tzepah even offered to wash our clothes.
With a car you're at 15-20 min from Downtown and Beaches. We stayed ten days and we had a very great time in Los Angeles, amazing city :-)
    Merci !

    Response from David:

Sorry for the unusually cold weather! Hopefully that will be picking up. But please do not hesitate to ask for more blankets. Even fi they don't match the set, they'll keep you warm! :)

  • When I arrived to LAX, this was the first location I was staying at. I love to walk and it wasn't too far of a walk for me from the airport. I got to explore the city as I made my way.

It's a great little cabin. Spacious with a comfortable bed. It's located central of everything if you have a car.

I did not get to meet David during my stay but he did email be some hikes that I would like to check out. I did meet his wife who is super sweet. They are very accommodating.

Definitely a great place to stay.

  • Nice stay. Fairly clean and private. Kitchen need crockery and cutlery if wanting to self cater. It was quite cold when we stayed, however, hosts provided two heaters which were adequate. Good position if you have a car. Hosts were extremely helpful and very friendly.

    Response from David:

Thank you for the kind words! We do have a couple of pots and pans in the cabin, as well as two mugs, but our guests usually purchase disposable for the rest (plates, cutlery, etc.).

  • great place. david and his family are very accommodating. we arrived late and they were able to give us a great recommendation on a place to eat and also on getting around LA.
    thanks David

My wife Tzepah and I are a fun-loving couple who are new to home-ownership. We both have an intimate knowledge of Los Angeles (Tzepah is a native Angelina, while I have a tourist's eye as a Wisconsin native). We look forward to getting to know you or giving you complete privacy as you prefer. Our goal is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I work as an appellate prosecutor for the California Department of Justice while Tzepah works part-time as a legal consultant. We enjoy hiking the wild areas of Los Angeles, taking in the best beaches, staying up with the latest movies, and just sitting by the fire having a drink.
