Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and outdoor area. We have a locked closet in the basement and have locked the shed. Please read below for important information about safety in the house.
Our driveway can accommodate 4 vehicles. 4WD/AWD or snow tires is a necessity for the unpaved, hilly driveway during all seasons.
Our doors are equipped with electronic locks. You will receive a unique code for entry that will only be valid during the duration of your booking.
We ask that guests enter through the basement level French doors for the safest and easiest access to the house.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the BBQ and outdoor fire pit until the first snowfall, perfect for relaxing evenings under the stars. Please note that the stairs leading to the fire pit area are rustic and on a steep incline—walk slowly, use the handrails, and take extra care when going up or down. For safety, never leave the fire pit unattended. We also kindly ask that you bring back inside any items you take out to the fire pit area. Please note, once there is snow the firepit area is closed for the winter season. The BBQ will also be closed on the first snowfall and throughout the winter season.
We also have an outdoor ninja set available for guests to enjoy. Please note that use of the equipment is at your own risk. It is designed for children ages 5 and up, with a weight limit of 300 lbs at a time. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times while using the ninja set. The area is visible from our deck, making it easy to keep an eye on kids while they play.
Outdoor Spaces Safety Guide
We’re excited for you to enjoy the fire pit and ninja set! To keep everyone safe, please follow these guidelines:
Fire Pit Safety
Supervise at all times: Never leave the fire unattended.
Use stairs carefully: Walk slowly, use handrails, and go one person at a time.
Keep the area clear: Remove personal items and anything flammable.
Extinguish the fire: Plan 3-4 hours to make sure it’s fully out before leaving or going inside. For safety and per fire code, never leave a fire unattended—violations will result in immediate cancellation of your entire reservation.
No running or roughhousing near the stairs or fire.
Ninja Set Safety
Age & weight limits: Ages 5+, max 300 lbs at a time.
Adult supervision required: Children under 16 must be watched at all times.

Other things to note
Our home is tucked off the main road up a hill in a peaceful mountain setting. Town roads are regularly plowed in winter; however, the driveway is steep and unpaved. AWD or 4WD vehicles are strongly recommended year-round and are necessary during winter and inclement weather. The driveway is professionally plowed and sanded in winter.
Cell service can be spotty in the neighborhood depending on your carrier. We recommend entering directions into GPS before arrival. The home has WiFi, which supports general connectivity and WiFi calling.
As a rural Vermont property, wildlife is common. You may encounter bears, coyotes, foxes, or other animals during your stay. Please keep screens closed, avoid leaving food outside, and ensure trash is properly secured.
Due to the mountain location, occasional power or internet outages may occur during severe weather. These interruptions are rare but outside our control.
For safety and occupancy verification, the home is equipped with three exterior security cameras covering the driveway, deck, and basement entrance. There are no interior cameras. Noise monitoring devices are located in main living areas and alert us only if decibel levels exceed preset limits. These devices do not record conversations.
Please review the House Rules carefully prior to booking
