Second floor bedroom with comfortable queen bed, full private bathroom and space to relax or check your e-mail. The bathroom includes hairdryer, basic toiletries and plenty of towels. The bedroom also has a dresser and closet for longer stay guests. The room has three windows, two of which face the backyard garden.
Our home is a three bedroom rowhouse in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. The location is a short walk to Northern Liberties & Fishtown restaurants and shopping.
Public transportation (subway/el) is approximately 10 minutes' walk and bus service to/from center city is at the end of the block. Street parking is usually easy to find on nearby streets.
Guests have use of wifi, laundry, large kitchen, living room with basic cable, dvd & netflix and backyard patio and garden. We share our home with two small - medium, well-behaved dogs.
We work full-time so would ask for flexibility on check-in. Our preference is to meet guests at the house when possible, but we are somewhat tied to work schedules. We have a 6p check-in on the listing, but are happy to work with guests' schedules as best we can.
Any other questions, please feel free to ask!
Kim and Frank were exceptional hosts for my week stay. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. The room and bathroom were spotless and incredibly comfortable. I had a great stay with them and definitely would stay again next time I am in town!
Kim and Frank were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, private, and well stocked. Check in and check out went smoothly.
Kim and Frank were extremely friendly and were truly interested in our experience in Philly. Kim immediately asked what we were interested in doing while in town and prepared to offer suggestions. Although we didn't necessarily "need" their advice since we were visiting friends that already had the weekend planned, it was still appreciated :)
The house was great and the private ensuite room was incredibly clean and cozy. Our short trip was wonderful, especially due to our stay here. I wish I had more time to chat with them and get to know one other a little more, as they seemed like cool, laid-back, interesting people.
The neighborhood is FANTASTIC with tons of great local eats, bars, coffee, and shops...we kind of want to live there now ;)
Will definitely only book Kim and Frank for future trips!
Kim and Frank are excellent hosts and their house is really beautiful. They were very attentive and willing to give advice on directions and things to do.
Overall, we were very comfortable and had a great amount of privacy. The neighborhood is new and fun, lots of restaurants and places to get a drink.
Great location for us, we were in Philadelphia to see the sights. Most are within walking distance. Actually I'd recommend using public transport to get around, as parking is limited.
The room was clean and very spacious newly painted and decorated. Kim made us feel very welcome, gave us a key so that we could come and go as we pleased. We were given free rain of the kitchen although we didn't utilize it as we were out most of the time.
My husband and I had a fantastic stay in Kim and Frank's home. The room with the en suite bathroom was beautiful, spacious, and very private. Having our own bathroom really added to our comfort; we felt like we had a private mini-apartment. And the bed was so comfortable! Added details like water bottles and snacks in the room were very nice as well.
We were given a key and were easily able to come and go as we pleased, which suited us perfectly. The location is amazing! The neighborhood is fun and happening, and within easy reach (both by car and by public transportation) of the rest of the city.
We had a great stay, and would definitely return if we are ever back in Philadelphia!

Our passions are divided between home and away. We love to travel, especially when it involves the outdoors, adventure and great photo ops. When at home, Kim is the gardener and Frank the chef. We are also avid readers and dog lovers. We have been called foodies and appreciate good food, wine and beer. We prefer to stay in B&Bs and guest houses when traveling and think we have a good sense of what it is like to be both the host and the guest. We take pride in our home and making others welcome. We have both spent most of our lives in and around Philadelphia and enjoy recommending our favorite places to others.
