Description

The Space

Located on the same block as the subway this is a top-floor apartment that has tons of natural light (7 windows) and is a perfect alternative to being near the craziness of downtown Manhattan while also being within minutes of Museum Mile (Central Park is 2 1/2 blocks away and the Guggenheim & Met are only 15 minutes walking distance away).

For sleeping there is a full size bed + a trundle bed (which can be used for 2 people separately or as a king). The sheets are quality high thread count and the towels heavy Turkish.

There are plenty of linens, fresh towels, dresser drawers, and closet space for your use.

Block is loaded with all the amenities of the city....2 grocery stories, pizza place, florist, library, Starbuck's, organic market, etc. There are several 24 hour vendors (a CVS, a fresh market, and a deli) within 3 minutes of the apt.

Apt is located only 15 steps from the #6 subway station at 96th Street yet because of its location in the rear of building, is extremely quiet.

Modern and eclectic in decoration you are guaranteed to feel like you're staying in a home away from home.

I also provide umbrellas, maps of the subway, a hair dryer, and as many TIPS for locals as you'd require.

This is a walk-up and worth every step!

Guest Access

Museum Mile, Central Park, and FDR, shopping on Madison Avenue, only a few stops to Bloomingdales and other well known retail outlets. The block has a Starbucks on it plus several grocery stores. The crosstown bus that takes you to the westside is right out front.

Interaction with Guests

I love interacting with guests to do my best to assure you have everything you need and a wonderful stay in the apt AND in New York City! I can often provide passes to museums and tips for getting into shows at the smallest cost or even free using my member cards.

The Neighborhood

I love being able to walk to Central Park, The Guggenheim Museum, and so many other museums. I love the Jackie Kennedy Onassis reservoir for running, walking, and hearing so many languages. Biking through Central Park is heavenly on any day...rain or shine.

Getting Around

The MOST convenient with a cross town bus right across the street and the 96th Street #6 train on same block less than 50 ft from the building's front door.

Other Things to Note

This is a walk-up apt. I will help with bags upon arrival. I find that I only walk-up once or twice in a day deepening on my schedule. It's great exercise and there's no one above you walking around which makes for an even quieter nights sleep.

I am a 43 year old non-smoking female who currently resides in New York City but was a long-time resident in San Francisco. I'm well-travelled, respectful of people's space and homes (seriously, I will treat it as if it were my own) and love meeting new people. I travel incessantly, am easy to get along with, and can share loads of information with you on things to do and places to go in NYC.

I live on the UES in a beautiful one-bedroom apt a mere 2 1/2 blocks from Central Park and within minutes of the Met, Guggenheim, and Jewish museums. This ultra-quiet apt is light-filled (7 windows) and more quiet then you can imagine.

I greet all my guests and give them a personal tour of the apt. Also provided are high quality towels and bedding.

My glass is always half-full and never half empty. I view the world as a friendly place.
