The Space

It's a B&B, but not your "typical" B&B - not stuffy, not minimalist and more "quirky" than perfect.
This room with en-suite shower and toilet is for one or two people ... the beds can be "single" or zipped together to make one big bed.
We also have two more twin/double en-suite rooms.
We have off-street parking and guarantee no frilly pillowcases or creepy porcelain dolls in Victorian dress :D

Guest Access

Three twin/double rooms with en-suite shower rooms, with breakfast in the diningroom.

The rest of the house is our private accommodation.

Interaction with Guests

We have accommodation for up to six paying guests at our B&B and while we respect people's privacy, we do enjoy having a laugh and finding out where are guests are from and what life is like where they live :)
The layout of the kitchen/dining area is such that we are able to chat whilst cooking your breakfast ... oh and don't worry if you are vegetarian, we are too, so your mushrooms will NOT be sneakily sauteed in with any bacon or sausages on the go ... separate pans, we promise!!

The Neighborhood

Dundee is a great little city, and getting better by the day ... it's a proper arty little place and we're all sooo excited about the new V&A museum to be built down at the waterfront! It's a compact, very friendly place to stay and reputedly the sunniest city in Scotland ... hey, you can sometimes even see dolphins down at the beach in Broughty Ferry (only a couple of miles from the house).
We're a little out of the city centre, but there are beautiful parks only minutes' walk from the house and the city centre is only a 5/10 minute drive/20 minute walk.
We're in a GREAT location for touring Scotland! No need to pack and unpack bags every day ... Perth, Edinburgh, St Andrews, Aberdeen and more all easily accessible ... within 30 mins to just over an hour travelling by car. We've had guests do "day trips" to the Borders and Oban rather than humph their suitcases to a different location every day ;)

Getting around

Legs ... an easy downhill walk to the city centre, about 20 minutes (bit longer coming back as it's uphill!)
Bus ... No 32 or 33 from the city centre ... ask to get off at Lammerton Terrace
From the railway station take the 32 or 33 or a taxi
From the airport, take a taxi
We have a little car park if you are driving - no charge for this.

Other Things to Note

We have original paintings, prints, and home-made gifts and crafts for sale.

  • The house is located a little bit outside Dundee City centre. Our room was not the room advertised - but Hazel offered us a bigger one with a very good king size bed for a surcharge. The bathroom is small but modern and was very clean. The room was nicely and individually decorated.
Hazel is a very nice host and creates good feeling and a great breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed much staying a night stopping-over on our way to Central Scotland at her guest house.

  • My husband and I stayed at Hazel and John’s lovely house for two nights. It’s only about a 30 min walk (or quick easy-access bus ride) to the city centre – which was key for us.

Hazel is welcoming, friendly, and has an excellent, fun sense of humour. Our room was big, spotless, and newly renovated and our breakfast was made-to-order and very yummy! Plus we had wifi in our room which is always welcome when you’re planning on the fly.

We’d both very highly recommend Hazel’s B&B for your stay in Dundee! :)

  • Hazel and her family, had been great hosts.
I really enjoyed my stay at their little BnB.

I can recommend their place in Dundee.
Spacious room, well prepared breakfast and a great talks and discussions of a little bit of everything.

If you ever need a place to stay in Dundee.
    Give them a call.

About
Aaaaahhhh this site has automatically used my daft profile picture from (website hidden)!!! I will try and find out how to change it ... In the meantime - I love laughing; Greece; great food; sewing; stained glass and sunshine. I cannot stand smoking; arrogance or unexpected rain. We love to welcome like-minded people from all over the world to our humble little B&B - we do like to chat and have a laugh with guests, don't worry though, it's optional :D I can sometimes manage a conversation in French and can guess a lot of things in Spanish or Italian - we always have pencil and paper for those occasions when words fail us and we have to resort to drawings to communicate!!! :D
