The Space

Please check with me first before doing a booking request! I really want to exchange information before I accept and I will always answer as soon as possible to an inquiry. Please wait for my reply.

The room I sublet is small, but comfortable, in a quiet part of the city, but very close to several interesting parts of Amsterdam. (Leidseplein, Jordaan, Westerpark.) The room is about 7,5 m2 of size, with one single bed, a table and a closet, and situated in the back of the appartment, immediately beside the balcony. Therefore you have no disturbance of streetnoise, although there is little of that in the street where I live. There is a small but clean bathroom with toilet and shower. You can use my kitchen and fridge. The neighbourhood is nice, simple, nothing fancy, but ok. There is a supermarket nearby, and a restaurant around the corner. Tram 3 stops right around the corner and will take you towards the museum-area, or to layovers into various parts of the center. Bus 21 and 18 have stops closeby and will take you to Central Station.

I don't provide breakfast, but you are welcome to use my kitchen to make your own meals.

There are three people living in the apartment. For someone who seeks the quietness of a single-persons place this might be important to know. We also have guinnee pigs.

My house is what I made of it; it's not too luxurious, but well organised, though not rigidly. It has character. It reflects who I am.

It's very important that you communicate with me on arrival time! Normally I will ask you, but might I forget, please take the responsability to inform me and agree on checking-in time. I have a busy schedule and I will not be home all day.

  • Anne is an amazingly kind and helpful host. Even her children were helpful .She was able to accommodate me despite my late arrival into Amsterdam. It is really convenient from both the airport, and to the city . Her bicycle helped a lot if you are a backpacker like me and it is a bicycle city after all . The location is pretty quiet which is good and is just blocks away from the city central . Everything is within 15 to 30 minutues reach so there is not any much to despite. Overall, the place is sufficient and cosy and a true Amsterdam living condition with close approximate to the city center. i will come back if i return back to Amsterdam:)

  • Was in Amsterdam for about 4 days. I had a good stay - comfortable and quite accessible to the places I needed to go.

  • Anne is really nice and available. She has got a huge map of the city and she'll explain to you anything you'll need to know. Outside the weather is cold, but inside Anne's house the atmosphere is warm!

  • Anne is a very kind and caring host who seems to enjoy socializing and opening her family's home to travelers. The room was very clean, same about bathroom. I could store few things in the fridge and Anne even offered her bike for me to use. Her place is well-located in Amsterdam, it was easy walking downtown and strolling through the districts. Cafés and a supermarket were also very close by.
Thank you Anne for having me stay with your family :)

  • Anne was an incredibly great host. The room was just what I expected, and the location of the apartment was really ideal. Very easy to get around the city. She was very kind to even let me use a spare bike during my stay, and was accommodating of my early morning departure. Highly recommended!

  • This was my first AirBnB experience and it was wonderful. Anne was very nice and the room was exactly as described. Her place was easy to get to by bus from the central station and it is in a quiet neighborhood. The only downside are the 3 flights of super skinny stairs that were hard with my 50lb suitcase- although this is very traditional for Amsterdam so it wasn't unexpected :) overall an easy and pleasant stay and somewhere I would stay again if I found myself back in Amsterdam!

  • It was really nice to stay there! Anne is so lovely. :)

  • Anne is a very nice host. She's kind and helpful, ready to share your story, but is not inquisitive. The room is small but well equipped, with a large closet, writing table, and plenty of hangers (very important!). If there is a drawback, it's the air heater, which dries the air in the room and leaves me with a sore throat after three days of stay. But if you are not particularly afraid of cold, you do not need it, as the insulation is good.

About
I'm an artist, sculptor, and very interested in different cultures and languages. I've been traveling to Bosnia a lot and this has made me broadminded. Anyone who would use my house or my room and would meet me would have advantage of this. I think I know what's important in life. I try very hard not to waste time.
