On the border of charming, multicultural Nørrebro with lots of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants, the apartment has a very convenient location for getting around Copenhagen. Crossing the Copenhagen Lakes, it is a less than a 10 min. walk to the Town Hall Square, Tivoli, cinemas, theatres, and the pedestrian street "Strøget". Located midway between Østerbro and Vesterbro, the location is also good for explorations beyond the inner city.

There is a direct connection to the airport, which takes you there in appr. 30 minutes, as well as a direct bus connection to Copenhagen Central Station. The metro also takes you to Amager Beach in 20 minutes. Furthermore, there is easy connection to regional trains taking you to Zealand attractions, such as Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, or the Viking ship Museum in Roskilde
Cheap parking is possible in nearby streets.
The apartment includes a living room, dining room with a large table, library with a queen size sofa bed, bedroom with a queen size bed, and a kid’s room (princess style) with an adult size single bed, kitchen, separate toilet, and bathroom with a tub.

The kitchen has basic, older equipment, a washing machine, and a view of the charming courtyard, with a playground and swings.
This is not a luxury apartment, but a cosy, child friendly home where you can put your feet up. It bears the markings of a child's home, from the ball pen marks on the dining chairs to the play kitchen in the living room.
You have the flat to yourselves, while we stay in our cottage. You have access to the communal back yard with benches and tables, as well as a playground incl. jungle gym and swings
You have full access to the kitchen's supply of condiments, coffee, tea, and groceries (pasta, rice etc). We only ask you to restock, if you finish something.

If you have special interests (e.g. architecture, art, music etc.) ask us in advance, and we will find good places for you to go).
When you leave, just leave the keys and shut the door.
You can always reach us on the phone or via Airbnb in case of an emergency, or in case you have questions.
Nørrebro is the World wrapped into a few square miles.
Stroll along the lakes, and enjoy the Parisian feel. Check out Kaffesalonen with the lovely serving area on the water by Dronning Louise Bridge, and swing dance on Wednesday evenings. There is a very special atmosphere, especially on summer evenings, where you can enjoy a Nørrebro landmark, the iconic Irma neon advertising, with the egg-laying hen. Hang out on the Dronning Louise bridge, which is a landmark on its own.
Take a walk on Assistens Cemetery and see the graves of Hans Christian Andersen, and Soren Kierkegaard. Or enjoy a unique picnic in the shade of the Niels Bohr grave monument, along with the locals.
If you are into antiques and curiosities, Ravnsborggade is the street to go, and if you like snack bars and unique new and vintage fashions, take a stroll down Elmegade.
Enjoy an ice cream from ParadIs on Sankt Hans Torv, or the nightlife of Blågårdsgade, with its many bars and cafes. In particular, we recommend the small, vegetarian Cafe N, that opens early in the morning and has affordable prices.
For babies and toddlers we can provide a stroller, additional baby cot (up to 3 years), kids tableware, high chair, potty. We have lots of toys for kids from
0 to 8-9 years.
The flat is old and not recently renovated, but we consider that part of the rustic charm. Some appliances are a bit run down, but functioning.
The flat is on a big boulevard, which makes it very bright, but also gives a bit of traffic hum, that you will soon get used to. The windows are triple layered, and we are high in the building so it is really not much.
The building was designed by the influential Danish architect, Ulrik Plessner in 1896, and is landmark protected. Therefore we have no elevator, but in stead we have beautiful art nouveau windows in the stairwell, which you will have ample opportunity to enjoy on your way to the fourth floor.
The neighbors are friendly and are likely to greet you on the stairwell.
You will find our recommendations for dining, playgrounds, sights and shopping if you click the tap "location". Please also let us know if you have special interests (architecture, art, outdoor activities etc.), and we will do our best to guide you to the best experiences in or outside the city.
You have the flat to yourselves, and access to the common yard.
Interaction with guests
We greet you on arrival, hand over the keys and give instructions for the flat. If you need anything or have special interests (such as e.g. architecture or hiking) we will gladly assist with tips and research.
We will send you the house manual, our personal tips for Copenhagen, and directions to get to the flat appr. a week before arrival.
Other things to note
Our philosophy is to keep the price down so more people may enjoy our lovely city. Therefore we charge no cleaning fee, and we kindly ask our guests to leave the flat in the same condition as you found it.
The flat is on the fourth floor in a landmark protected building without elevator.
Travelling light? You will find a blow dryer, disposable razors and a manicure set in the bathroom.
This is our home, when you are not here. We cannot clean out everything, so we kindly ask you to respect our privacy and only open the designated cupboards and drawers.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.
