Francesca is an amazing woman and an amazing host! We were greeted with warmth and excitement. Francesca arranged a driver, to pick us up at airport and to drive us on our daily excursions. Francesca's home is every thing the photos portray. We enjoyed the welcoming, comforting atmosphere. We enjoyed our conversations over a very healthy breakfast. We ourselves, being very food and health conscience, we appreceiated Francesca'a insight to healthy eating, foods, and living. She also assisted with recommendations for restaurants, historical sites and museums to see and not miss, places to stay near Otavalo. This location was another historical home and was absolutely exquisite.
Fantastic stay again @ Francesca's wonderful home.
Our home away from home in Quito.
Thanks so much. Great visit!
Another perfect stay with you. Thank you for sharing your immaculate home and breezy way of life with us! xx
Francesca and her home are both just wonderful. We stayed with Francesca at the beginning of our trip to Ecuador and after returning from an excursion to the Oriente, and returning at the end of the week felt in many ways like coming back home. I cannot say enough good things. The home itself is a beauty and also incredibly interesting to peruse with the historic furniture and Francesca's artistic touch, and the room is inviting, spacious (bedroom, private terrace, closet, and large bathroom all included!), and very comfortable. Her cats are very, very sweet, and my husband and I enjoyed playing with them. We were also very grateful for the excellent (and very careful) driver Francesca uses, Patricio, and also for the many superb recommendations for restaurants and other attractions.
But even better than the amazing space was meeting Francesca herself. A favorite part of the trip was enjoying breakfast each morning with her, learning about this wonderful city, the beautiful country of Ecuador, and getting to know one another. We are so fortunate to have found this. If we are ever lucky enough to make it back to Quito, I know where (and with whom) we will be staying.
Francesca is incredibly welcoming, and her place is a beautiful, unique, and very special way to experience Quito's Centro Historico. Her home is it's own journey into Quito's history, full of incredible antiques and relics. You will be surrounded by beauty, history, and comfort and you explore Quito's historic center, all easy walking distance from your doorstep.
There really are no words to express just how incredible Francesca and her home were. Located in the historical part of Quito right around the block from La Ronda, it couldn't have been a better location. Her home was like being in a beautiful art museum where you actually got to touch the furniture. Francesca made us feel extremely welcome, she prepared an amazing healthy breakfast using all organic foods that she is clearly very passionate about. Our room was very comfortable, warm and private. We will definitely be staying here again. We feel very lucky to have gotten the chance to meet Francesca and to stay in her wonderful home.

I am a member of Airbnb for some months now, I currently live in Ecuador, I work in the arts. I am a painter. Happy to share our "slow house".
I, we are, indeed, privileged to be able to restore our 475 year-old historic house in Quito's "Centro Histórico". Ours is one of the few historic houses which has always been "alive" and well kept. Historians: Fray José María Vargas, Dr. Fernando Jurado have written about our house. When you choose us, you are helping us continue our work. We love to share our big house, our comfortable kitchen, our sesame milk, our organic homemade bread (when we can get non-GMO flour), coffee, etc. We found clear evidence of a very interesting, XVI century fresco right in our kitchen!!! We really like that our guests feel welcome, at home. Living here is like traveling, comfortably, back in time.
If you choose to stay somewhere else, come and visit us anyway. We will be happy to welcome you and share our art, some of what we do.
