The location of Linda's place was really great as it was right next to Central Park Avenue and there was a street lined up with all sorts of Asian cuisines behind the place - which was perfect for my parents!

This was a good accommodation - a nicely laid out studio apartment that was quite clean and well maintained. Linda was a good host, efficient in her dealings with me and also helpful in telling me about the area including giving me directions to the local supermarket. A good lo…

We arrived at the unit on Xmas day. At bed time we noticed the bedding was soiled. The mattress coverings had blood stains on them. The lower and upper sheets had blood stains on them. The quilt cover had blood stains. We contacted the owner and would not get off the phone u…

Response from Linda:
Nisa and Keith were high maintenance guests and unreasonable in their expectations. They were told in advance of the booking that I would be away over the Xmas and New Year period and would not be in Sydney at the time they arrived and that as such, I would only charge them standard rates, not holiday rates. Nevertheless, they rang me at 11pm on Christmas Day to complain about the bedding claiming it had not been washed. I assured them I had washed the sheets and made the bed myself. I ended up leaving my children asleep alone and personally delivering a second set of linen that night. On New Years Eve, they said the toilet stopped flushing. I despatched a plumber immediately. As the owner, I absorbed the cost without question although the plumber advised that I could negotiate for the cost to be shared as it was possible they caused the fault. Contrary to Airbnb¹s requirements that reviews be truthful and factual, this review is both absurdly exaggerated and blatantly incorrect. Let¹s deal with the latter first: there is a garbage room on the ground floor of the building, and the apartment is on the first floor, but it is not situated directly above the garbage room. There is a garbage chute at the end of the corridor, not adjacent to the studio. Also, I am not a licenced plumber, so would never attempt to fix a toilet myself. Whether this has been done by a previous owner or guests or even Nisa and Keith, I do not know. Now let¹s address the gross exaggeration: on closer inspection of the offending sheets in bright daylight the next day (as I couldn¹t spot the alleged bloodbath in the evening light), I found a couple of small drop-sized stains that could have been anything: spilt coffee, hot chocolate, blood from a nick while shaving. They were on the flat sheet, but at the end that is usually tucked in at the end of the bed. Therefore, they only found it by stripping the bed completely and inspecting each layer of bedding right down to the mattress protector. I¹m sorry that they found it so offensive that I am not the Hilton, but equally, I felt their demands at 11pm on Christmas Eve completely unreasonable. I think Nisa and Keith would be better off in a hotel with 24 hour reception and concierge, maybe even a butler, as they expect to stay in someone's home and receive 5-star service, rather than in the spirit of Airbnb - be independent travellers and take some responsibility for taking care of the property.

The locatiom of the apartment is fantastic. There are so many food places around and the variety is great. Central plaza had a large supermarket and I had no problems getting anything I needed. The train station is near by (5 minutes) and the rest of the city is very walkable.

Linda was very warm and friendly. The location was great, so many different restaurants very close to the apartment. Would definitely recommend the place to others :)
