The Selectmen of Center Harbor and Meredith have increased the area‟s recycling effort not only to reduce trash disposal costs but also to sell and reuse raw materials. A major benefit of recycling is the money saved resulting from not having to burn, to landfill or to transfer these materials. Users of the Solid Waste Facility are required by local ordinances to separate recyclable materials from disposable trash. Trash is subject to inspection at any time by the facility attendants. Failure to comply with the local recycling ordinances could result in not only the loss of facility use but also the unexpected payment of a monetary fee. You are encouraged to ask for assistance from the facility attendants. They are there to answer your questions and assist you in your recycling efforts.
We had one of our most delightful and relaxing vacations ever at this lovely home. Nothing was lacking and there were even some special touches that we didn't anticipate. This is really a gem of a place and even the dog had a great time. Kayaking and canoeing to Stonedam Island was a highlight and the town of Meredith is lovely. Melissa was great communicating with us before during and after our stay. We look forward to coming back next year.
This cabin is a dream! The natural light it receives and the surrounding woods make for a beautiful escape. Each room feels clean and new. There are endless amenities–we especially loved having access to the canoe which we took to the nearby Stonedam Island for a hike & swim. There were fresh flowers on the dining room table when we arrived which was a really nice touch. It felt like staying at a family friend's home. Absolutely lovely.
The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The host was excellent and was in constant contact.
The house was lovely and exactly as advertised. The beds were super comfortable! Beautiful area... quiet, very relaxing. Melissa gave us all the instructions we needed and was a pleasure to work with.
Melissa made sure we knew the specifics of the home and area prior to our arrival so that it was easy to transition into the home. We loved having access to the kayak and canoe, including the recommendation for the Stonedam Island hike. The house is spacious and very comfortable. There was more than enough space for our family of four, even on rainy days! Additional highlights were the firepit, accessibility to the White Mtns and Lake Winnipesaukee, and the information book Melissa put together.
Melissa was truly a great Host opening her beautiful Log Home to the four of us! She was very commutative and had many things to offer. Her 'welcome' binder has lots of information regarding the area lakes, scenic tours and things to do for all!! We were in the area to attend Bike Week in Laconia and I will say that this home was truly a quiet and beautiful place to be. Somewhat out of the noise of the town. We did experience some little chipmunks that love the area too. The home was clean, warmly decorated and welcoming! The kitchen was very well stocked just in case you forgot something (which we didn't) and had the opportunity of using the gas BBQ and eating outside. Melissa definitely keeps up with the maintenance on the home and it offers much more than one can imagine. We truly hope that we can come back again soon, maybe longer next time, so that we can fully enjoy the scenic town of Meredith!! You can be sure that Melissa is just a quick message away, and she will give you any information you may need. Should someone decide to rent this beautiful Log Home ... hope you enjoyed as much as we did! We felt right at home!! Thanks again to Melissa for opening up her home!
