What a boss Vic is! Really awesome host! Very welcoming, when we first met he took me and another guest out to a local restaurant. Also he responds super fast.
The house was great, very clean. And is cleaned regularly. Great experience meeting others who live there. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area!
very welcoming place. convenient location to downtown san jose. Vic organizes BBQ and parties from time to time so you get good chances to meet awesome people.
Spent a terrific week in San Jose hanging out with other techies and also students from San Jose State University. The house is big and the kitchen is well equipped. Vic organize parties regularly so everybody gets to know everybody. My fondest memory was asking Vic for a used bike and he buying me a new fancy one. (Like people asking me in the street. Hey where did you get that bike? LOL!)
Be sure not to miss visiting the modern art museum of San Jose and The Makers Tech Shop!
My stay at Vic's place was wonderful. I met a few good people and the stay was comfortable. This place is ideal for short term stays for adults and long term for students, which is the case here at this Downtown SJ residence.
I came to San Jose for a technology related conference and stayed for a week. Vic was very easy to reach, helped me with all the details for my arrival and even left a hand written note. The home was clean, tidy and comfortable. The area was peaceful and within walking distance of the down town. Staying at the hacker home was one of the best parts of my trip as Vic and the other flatmates made me feel very welcome. It really is a great community of locals and shorter term visitors to be part of. Would definitely do it again!
Vic's house was a very welcoming place. I stayed there for a month with my wife in a private room while looking for a job and permanent place. I can say that Vic was always available and very helpful, he even helped with my job search and one of his friends gave me his car to take the DMV wheel test, not to mention that they were always happy to give you a ride or answer any questions you might have.
For a month we had the pleasure to meet a lot of people from all over world which were open minded, interesting and friendly. Although we did not have the opportunity to spend much time hanging out, it was certainly a great experience.
Overall we had great time here and I will certainly recommend it to others looking for a comfortable place in downtown San Jose.
The host made me feel welcome. The guys here were great and friendly. A clean house and bathroom. Central to downtown San Jose and shops. Also near bus stations and trains. I have had an excellent time staying here
