***Extras***
Plan your meals: Order groceries/meals to be available upon arrival through FreshDirect. Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and other dietary preferences accommodated.

***Transportation***
Subway/metro, bus stops RIGHT outside the front door. 5 min. ride to City Hall, Center City, Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Avenue of the Arts, etc and the Phlash bus has a stop right in front of our door as well as the Big Bus hop on hop off tour.

We are only a 15 minute drive from the airport and there is a flat rate from the city cab drivers of $30 (plus tip) from the airport to anywhere in the city. Or there is a train that runs from the airport into center city and then you switch to a local line that stops right in front of our house. This costs about $8-$10 and will take about 45 minutes.

and lastly, if we are available, we can pick you up from the airport and we charge $20 for this service.

*****Parking*****
This is a VERY touristy part of town and there is no FREE street parking, only metered. However there are tons of parking lots/structures within steps of our door, or free street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. You can park overnight at the meters for free.

For metered parking. The meters run from 8AM-10PM DAILY (nothing free on Sunday) so if you know you are using you car all day this might be a fine option for you. You can park for free after 10PM and until 8AM the next morning.

Garages. The garaged in Old City range from $30-$35 per night and that is just for overnight. If you want to take your car in and our of the lot you have to pay again when you come back.

We have a spot at the garage that we park out car that we can rent for to you for $25 a day stationary parking. Or $35 a day with in and out privileges. This is a special rate that our garage lets us have for friends and family traveling in from out of town.

***Check in/Out***
Our check in/out times are flexible, so just let us know what you need. If we have a guest staying the night before or the night after your reservation then check in time is after 12pm and check out time is before 11am. We do this so that we may have enough time to clean the room and apartment for the next guest.

*****Extra Guests******
If you have extra guests or are a family we do have a full pull out bed in the living room and it would be $30 extra per person per night for living room guests.

We can accommodate special requests. Just ask!

We look forward to hearing from you! :)

  • We didn't meet Vlad, but Aisha was very kind and accommodating. Our flight in was delayed and she actually stayed up until 2am to help us get settled. She had lots of little travel toiletries in the guest bathroom, so if you forgot anything you'd be covered. The AC does have a tendency to freeze up overnight, but with a fan and open windows it's fine. Obviously, that wouldn't even come up if you're traveling in the chillier months anyway. Overall, really really nice and in a great location close to everything.

    Response from Aisha & Vlad:

Thanks for staying with us Dory!

Clarification for future guests: The AC is in fine working condition and we do have ceiling fans in the bedrooms. I tend to turn the AC off at night because the house becomes an icebox if it runs all night. As you can see from previous reviews, there have been no problems with the temperature in the house. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If anyone has any specific needs (temperature or anything else) just let us know and we will do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. :)

  • Aisha was very responsive, and wrote back right away. She was very helpful in booking the room and went out of her way to help me make things work by creating a special deal for me. I was looking for a place to host my Sister very near where I live, and she was very helpful in the process of making things happen. Because she was out of town she had her friend drop the key off to me. That was incredible because I have a toddler at home and it made things very easy. My sister loved staying there. She got great sleep, everything was very clean and comfortable. And my sister can be very picky about these things. :) She got to meet Aisha a couple of times over the 3 day stay and really enjoyed her as a person as well (email hidden). I got to visit the apartment and it was a beautiful, warm, clean, and welcoming place. We will definitely try to book this room again when company is in town. Thanks Aisha for all of your help in the booking process and your elegant, thoughtful hosting!

  • My husband and I could not have asked for anything more. This is an adorable apartment in the heart of Old City. The location is great - close to all of the historic sites and a lot of good food. Aisha (email hidden) and we enjoyed getting to know her. She was flexible with our check in (we were running late) and even arranged parking for our car at a nearby garage. We would definitely stay again.

  • I had a great stay with Aisha and Vlad in their cozy apartment. It's located in a perfect location directly cross from the metro and restaurants. Aisha (email hidden) and made me feel at home throughout my stay, I would recommend this space in a heartbeat!

  • We only met Aisha who was very helpful and accommodating. Great neighborhood and very central to the tourist attractions. The room met our needs but we were gone a lot and didn't really use much of the other spaces.

  • Aisha and Vlad's apartment was a perfect launch pad for my mom and I to see the best of historic Philadelphia. While we didn't actually get to meet them, their beautiful apartment reflected what a fun, sweet couple they are. Aisha made us feel very welcome and was always accessible to answer any questions. The apartment was clean, comfy, and quiet, even though it's located on a bustling street filled with great restaurants and attractions. We were literally within 5 minutes of Christ Church, the Arden Theater, dozens of cute shops on 3rd street, the river walk, Franklin Fountain (great ice cream!), and so much more. Plus, the 33 bus took us along Market Street to other attractions like the Barnes Foundation. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Aisha was a very responsive and friendly host. Although we didn't see much of her, she communicated by text. She went out of her way to help us after we left a camera in the apartment after dropping off the keys. The apartment was as it looks and sounds, very spacious and comfortable. We made breakfast there. The location is great--easy walking to many sights and neighborhoods--old city, Independence Hall, Italian market, the Magic Garden. Also, it is right on the Phlash bus route, so you can easily get out to the more distant sites, like the art museum. There are only two caveats. The stairs are steep up to the apartment, so would be difficult for anyone with issues climbing stairs. Also, the windows can't be opened because of the noise of ventilators and it can get stuffy. Having said that, Aisha turned on the A/C in order to make it more comfortable.

    Response from Aisha & Vlad:

    Thanks for the review Norah!

Our listing does describe that we are a 3rd floor walk up and we make it clear under the amenities that we do not have an elevator.

A clarification for future guests: The windows do open. We live above restaurants and businesses in an ideal location of Philly and if you do open the windows you can hear the white noise of restaurant refrigeration systems. But they can open. :) and if guests would like them open but the noise is bothersome we have complimentary ear plugs.
We also have ceiling fans in the bedroom, central AC, and an air purifier that you can turn on. We are here to work for our guests, just tell us what you need and we will accommodate.

  • Aisha was a warm and accommodating host. (We didn't meet Vlad, unfortunately.) She worked around our timeline for arrival and departure with great flexibility. The apartment and room are both lovely and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we need a place to stay in Philly.

  • What can I say about Aisha and Vlad's place! Close to everything that is Philedelphia. You are right where you want to be, and not a block further. Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betty Ross's House, and B. Franklin's grave are all walking distance away. Aisha and Vlad provide a very very comfortable bed, a welcoming attitude, and a desire to make sure your trip is met with success. I would highly recommend them for their spirit, value of location, and desire to make sure your trip is great.

  • Aisha's home is very neat and beautiful as same as picture! The bed is comfortable too. My band the convenient store are just under the building. Aisha is friendly and helpful. We like the blackboard so much. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time in Philly:)
    Highly recommended !
