Renovated 18th century farmhouse with private access to river, sole use of bathroom and shared catering facilities. Dogs, cats, views, sea within 20 mins walk. Lively household with artists and environmentalists. Child friendly.
Public transport is very sparse, so it is easier to come here by car, although if you are happy walking, and staying for more that one night, we are on a bus route from Cork, but only 3 buses a day.
What a place! what a host! Serendipity brought me there for sure. Annie is a second to none host. He is very friendly, available for long chats and full of information. Her place is like a small paradise. The bedroom is very romantic (and very well appointed, with a bathroom all to myself). It really felt like home. (And Annie's bread is to die for). If you can at all, stay there, you won't regret it.
Even that I have stayed only for half day to rest before my night shift,it was excellent experience.Beautiful scenic views, nice house, excellent host,Annie.
Annie is a very friendly and attentive host and her house is a beautiful place to be. Her pets are as hospitable as she is. She knows a lot about the surrounding country. We enjoyed our stay and wish all the best for her.
A lovely clean room.Welcoming with cups of tea. Annie is a lovely host with time to talk and show us around the land.
We had a great stay in Annie's home. She is very kind. She advices us about places to visit. The home is very warm and aminals so cute !
Very welcome, received as friends, we shared two evening meals in her company. She made us homemade bread is really good. She made us taste his specialties (salad of flowers from her garden). Annie has provided us with accurate maps of the area and suggested visits to. Typical Irish house arranged tastefully. Spacious room and very nice private bathroom. We would have stayed longer so we were fine.
