We are in a dramatic box canyon in the Sonoran Desert, on multiple acres at the edge of the Tucson Mountain Park and Sahuaro National Park West. Sounds of nature in the natural desert where birds, deer, javelina, jackrabbits, coyotes, and bobcats may show up at any time. Our sunsets are wondrous and the quiet welcomes you upon leaving the traffic and city sounds only fifteen minutes away. You will find the night sky extraordinary because there is very minimal light pollution and millions of stars with planets in clear view. Come during the full moon if you can. Unforgettable!
It is necessary to have your own vehicle to get to our place. We are very close to the route for El Tour de Tucson, great mountain biking, hiking, and world-class championship golf courses.
No smoking in the guest house. Will consider well-behaved pet. Quiet atmosphere and privacy prevail. We appreciate your treating our home with respect. We ask that you take all trash down to the trash cans at the bottom of the drive when you check out. Thank you.
My husband and I had a wonderful time in Catherine's guest house. We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel from the east coast. The space was warm and inviting and Catherine left us a detailed information packet that included information relating to the guest house and suggestions for things to see and do in Tucson . When I booked the space we were a bit concerned that it would be difficult to travel to and from various attractions in Tucson because it is so secluded, but we were pleasantly surprised by how convenient it was to most destinations! Catherine is a fantastic host, she was both attentive and respectful of our privacy. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely return.
Thank you Amy and Galen for choosing our Guest House for your Tucson vacation and family celebration. So glad you both enjoyed yourselves. We enjoyed having you as our guests and recommend you highly to your prospective hosts!
We'd love to see you again.
Bill and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary and couldn't have found a more intimate and beautiful spot to spend five days. From the moment we walked into the gust house, we felt surrounded by"welcome" Everything about the inside, views, meditation spots-all perfect. We hiked, saw old friends, had wonderful meals, but always knew we had our place to come home to. I give it an easy 5 star recommendation.
Catherine's guest house was a peaceful and very comfortable base for exploring the trails of Saguaro National Park's West unit, Tucson, and the other attractions of Southern Arizona. The meditation bench on the west side of the house offered a private vista of unpopulated foothills punctuated by saguaro's and enlivened by the local wildlife. It was the perfect place to view a total lunar eclipse that took place during our stay. Magnificent!
Catherine provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay and excellent suggestions for local attractions but always respected our privacy. This is a special place and we hope to return soon.
Catherine and Blair were very attentive hosts, we had two requests we made to them and they promptly attended to them. It was a nice surprise to see a variety of fruit left for us upon arrival. The description of the guest house was accurate and we enjoyed the features of the guest house including the sound system which held an immense variety of CD's. The kitchenette held all we required and the bathroom exceded our expectations including exceptional towels and great slate tile shower area. While off the beaten track it was actually easily accessiblee to most west side Tucson areas and having I-10/I-19 close made travel to Phoenix, Tubac (in the other direction) and Sonoita wine country readily accessible. Suguaro National Park is easily traveled as well as several local golf courses. We enjoyed our week at the Guest house in the hills of west Tucson.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us, Cindy and John. So glad you enjoyed our Guest House and environs. Seems like you did some fun exploring in Tubac, Sonoita, and the wine country. Hope you got some golf in also. We are adding a soft layer to the futons for more comfort.
Come back and see us again. Warm wishes, Catherine and Blair
Excellent! Great hosts, wonderful, secluded setting in Tucson mountains, terrific guest house. Restful and private. Would definitely return.
