About This Listing
I recently moved into this apartment - it is newly renovated, clean and comfortable.
This is 1 out of 3 bedrooms in the apartment. If you are alone, a couple, or group of friends, this room can accommodate you guys easily! The room by default goes for 2-3 people. If you are a group of 3-4 people, you are welcome to make space as you see fit. The main bed is big enough to take 3 people easily - with a double bed on the lower portion and a twin on top.
When you arrive, you will have your own key to the apartment, to enter and leave whenever you want. Just make sure to lock the apartment door behind you whenever you come in or go out!
There is 1 bathroom shared amongst the 3 bedrooms. I, Yehuda, will be around the house from time to time. If I am away at the time you rent the room, I will have a friend stay in the living room to let you into the apartment, give you keys, and show you around the house! We have a very large kitchen with all of the cooking supplies you would ever need, available for you to use. Please remember to clean up anything you use, after using it!
About the location: it is located at the corner of East 118th Street & 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, right by the 6 train station at 116th Street. The subway entrance is 2 blocks from the apartment.
The neighborhood is lively, well-lit, and very safe. There are supermarkets and delis everywhere, many are 24-hours.
Central Park is at 110th Street and 5th Avenue, about a 10 minute walk away from the apartment! The Metropolitan and Guggenheim Museums are 4 subway stops away. Everything else downtown, you can use the subway 24 hours, and its right nearby!
A laundromat is right near the apartment as well.
If you want to smoke, you can use the room, just please make sure to open a window and air it out afterwards.
If you have any further questions, feel free to email me and ask! If you are able to view this listing, then YES it is already available for the dates you are interested, so feel free to make a booking, and hope to see you soon in NYC!
***To answer the most common question: What is the price?
On the calendar you will see the price of each day (which changes throughout the busy season and on the weekends). After you select your days, airbnb adds all those days up, and adds their fee. That total is what you pay to airbnb.

My family and I had a pretty weird experience here. While there were little things that I probably could have dealt with, like general uncleanliness, the bedroom door not shutting all the way, and not being able to flush the toilet paper, my dad found these issues to be too much. Also when we returned to the apartment at night there was some kind of lingerie party going on in the living room... So I guess it all depends on what you're comfortable with. But overall I wouldn't recommend.
The stay was not really a good experience. The location is in a kind of messy area in the city but close to the metro. I would not feel safe walking there by myself. Also, seems like they divided the house different renters, so you don't know who you are staying with and feel crowded. The bathroom is not clean because too many ppl are using it so I didn't even take shower or brush my teeth in there.
If you are used to living with many ppl or staying in like a hostel, you might be fine with it.
We also had a hard time figuring out when to drop luggage and getting keys. But this is not anyone's fault. Yehuda and his roommate tried really hard to help.
Negatives: The place is not as big as what is shown in photo ... It was very dirty, especially in the corners, the toilet is in pieces and takes only through the tissue (yes, the "tissue " because they are" padded "with faux leather ...) the wifi works once on 2 and there is nothing for clothes ... The closet is already used by a bunch of Duty furbished ... eating outside was almost as nothing planned to eat in the apartment, no tables or chairs.
Pros: the price is not high, and close to a subway train ... We stay on the island of Manhattan ... A lot of places close to the apartment to eat pieces.
When I arrived, my host Axl, made me feel welcome. She showed me my room, showed me how keys worked, ect. I stayed for 6 nights. Most nights were loud. I was in NYC doing a course where I had to be up early in the morning. I did not find it appropriate that the host had loud music playing, often many friends visiting, and partying after 11pm. The apartment was also pretty dirty. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but in this case I think its neccessary. If you want to stay in a quiet, clean place, then this is not for you.
Convenient location, close to metro station. We didn't meet Yehuda in person but he replied to our message really fast and his roommate was nice. It's on the fourth floor and no elevator, if you have really big luggage you need to be prepared.
